Eighth-tier Northwich Victoria will be in Monday's draw for the second round, having held National League club Boreham Wood to a 1-1 draw.

League Two side Mansfield held League One Oldham to a 0-0 stalemate, while Dagenham & Redbridge and Morecambe will also face a replay after a goalless draw at Victoria Road.

That means of the 29 FA Cup ties played so far in round one, only three have finished level.

  6. Latics lose but Pompey prevailpublished at 17:47

It's been quite a fall from grace for 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic.

Two relegations in three years means they entered the competition at the first-round stage this year. They also exited it at the first-round stage.

Local rivals Bury thumped the Latics 4-0 with goals from Tom Pope, Danny Mayor, Nathan Cameron and Leon Clarke.

There was better news for 2008 winners and 2010 finalists Portsmouth.

Pompey hadn't won an FA Cup match since beating Spurs in the 2010 semi-final but a double from Adam McGurk was enough for them against non-league Macclesfield.

    FT: Coventry 1-2 Northampton

    Quote Message

We're out of the FA Cup, so I'm obviously disappointed. I don't want to stand here and make excuses: we had a reasonably strong side here today. I think, ultimately our inability to defend crosses was our downfall.

I was going to pass it but then I ducked inside, put my head down and hit it. We'll enjoy tonight. Then it is back to basics and trying to stay top of the league.

    Altrincham 1-0 Barnsley

    Quote Message

I have to give congratulations to Altrincham. They have beaten us fair and square and we didn't have enough today. The players have to look deeply at themselves and turn this run around.

Barnsley boss Lee Johnson is being very magnanimous in defeat but whether he'll be in the job next week remains to be seen.

I'm very chuffed. It is just a great occasion. We said before the game we want to see how far we have come as a football club and a team. Our work rate was phenomenal.

  19. 'One of my more important goals' - Reevespublished at 17:18

    FT: Altrincham 1-0 Barnsley

    Quote Message

It's probably one of the most important ones. We haven't had much luck in the FA Cup over the last few years so we thought it was important to get a run going.

    Damian Reeves, Altrincham striker

Today's goal against Barnsley was Reeves' 151st goal for Altrincham.

  20. The winner takes it allpublished at 17:18

    Altrincham 1-0 Barnsley

Joy for Altrincham, but could that be the end of Lee Johnson's tenure as Barnsley boss?

The former Oldham boss took over at Oakwell in February and initially oversaw a real upturn in results.

However, they've struggled this season and today's defeat by non-league opposition, added to the seven successive losses in the league, might spell the end for the 34-year-old.
