That was a nasty one for Adam Smith

It's half-time at the Hawthorns. The Baggies are a man down following James McClean's deserved sending off.

This is the perfect chance for the Cherries to pick up an early Xmas present.

  5. INJURY TIME AND CHANCEpublished at 45+1 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

Matt Ritchie heads wide from six yards from a great delivery from Junior Stanislas. He should have scored.

There are only two minutes of stoppage time. Hmmm...

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

Dan Gosling makes a great run on the right of the area, but his final pass goes behind team-mate Junior Stanislas - Cherries going for it at the Hawthorns.

Moments later, Glenn Murray's low strike is well held by Boaz Myhill. The keeper is in for a busy second half.

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

We have five minutes remaining in this first half, plus stoppage time.

Key for the Baggies here is to not concede before HT so they can regroup.

Cherries need to go hell for leather before the whistle, which they are doing...

"It was an awful challenge! McClean has cleaned him out completely, and has lost his head. But, I'll be honest... that's happened to me!"

  9. RED CARD TO WEST BROMpublished at 34 mins

    James McClean

Adam Smith is scythed down by James McClean and Mike Dean has no hesitation but to show a straight red to the Irishman.

It looked an awful tackle on the replay. One to judge for yourself on Match of the Day later.

"West Brom just haven’t got going yet, and the crowd are waiting for them to do something, just so some knows they can get behind them."

OK, so Rondon has had a few touches. But he's a striker right?

  12. Mexican wave time?published at 26 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

It's all rather quiet on the attacking front. I don't recall the Baggies striker Salomon Rondon having many touches.

  13. Postpublished at 22 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

West Brom have a free-kick. Craig Gardner whips it in from the right and it just misses the head of Craig Dawson.

The Baggies applying more pressure now after a relatively poor first 20 minutes.

  15. Jittery Baggiespublished at 14 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

West Brom just let Charlie Daniels run about 30 yards before his shot takes another deflection and goes out for a corner.

Again, it was a set piece easily dealt with by the home side.

Last-minute replacement Glenn Murray has an early sniff at goal. His shot from Junior Stanislas' pass is deflected out for a corner.

Nothing comes from the resulting Cherries set piece.

  17. The Lenny Henry Showpublished at 8 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

If you fancy a laugh then The Hawthorns is a good ground to go to (that wasn't supposed to be derogatory).

Not only does comic Frank Skinner support the Baggies but so does Sir Lenny Henry.

Yes, that is Lenny and not Ainsley Harriott.

    Danny Mills
Former Man City defender, Final Score

"Bournemouth are in fantastic form, are on a real upward curve at the moment. Their attacking football is in complete contrast to West Brom's. There is absolutely no reason why the Cherries can't continue to pick up points and move up the table."

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on Final Score

"Who would have thought Bournemouth would have gone on this run of brilliant form? They must be full of confidence, and they play they could be more like the home team today.

"West Brom are more 4-4-2, dogged and determined, but they have a goal threat in Salomon Rondon."

  20. GREAT SHOTS AND SAVE!published at 5 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Bournemouth

Early menace from the Cherries. Junior Stanislas tries one from 20 yards that Boaz Myhill punches away.

Then at the other end James Morrison attempts a lovely dipping half-volley that almost catches out backtracking Artur Boruc at his far post.
