PENALTY APPEALpublished at 44 mins
Neymar should have won a third penalty in the first half. Nacho slides in near the edge of the box but takes the man and not the ball. Poor decision by the referee.

You don't see this often - Barcelona getting edged on possession stats. At the Nou Camp.
Neymar breaks down the left for Barcelona and gets the ball back to Sergi Roberto, whose curling shot from 20 yards is touched wide down low by Rayo keeper Tono.
Roberto Trashorras, once of Barcelona, and Sergio Busquets are scrapping away as a corner is played in. The Rayo forward gets his head onto it but the referee calls it back for a free-kick.
If anything Busquets was fouling him more than the other way round. But the strikers very rarely get a decision in those circumstances.
Rayo Vallecano certainly aren't giving up on this and Patrick Ebert forces a save from Claudio Bravo from about 20 yards with a low effort.
Neymar (penalty)
Neymar, with a short run-up, sends Tono the wrong way again - putting it in the different corner this time. Barca lead a fascinating game.
And now it's seven.
Neymar, who is on fire, nutmegs Nacho, who brings him down with his trailing leg.
Baffling play from Gerard Pique, one of the world's top centre-backs. The Spain international can't head it back to Claudio Bravo so instead just boots the ball up into the air, Garryowen style (token Rugby World Cup reference).
Rayo win a corner from which Javi Guerra has a header on target but it's straight at Bravo.
This is like a game of Fifa (other computer games are available). it's attack after attack from Barca - players constantly running at defenders.
Neymar could be on about four goals by now, this time he sends a Rayo defender one way and then the other and fires his shot just wide of the far post.
This is a brilliantly open game - could see a few more goals in this one. Sandro is played in, 18 yards out, is this his chance to cement his place in the Barcelona team in Lionel Messi's absence?
No, no it's not. The 20-year-old screws his shot badly wide - and high. Poor effort.
Barcelona think they are ahead as Neymar curls a shot home from 16 yards. Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique are both in offside positions in the centre. Not sure if either of them got a touch or were just interfering with play. Either way it's ruled out.
Neymar (penalty)
Neymar sends Tono the wrong way with a cool, low kick into the corner. Diego Llorente has really cost his side here.
It's the same players again but this time there's no doubt. Diego Llorente brings down Neymar with a terribly timed tackle. Penalty.
Barcelona forward Neymar wants a penalty as Diego Llorente puts hands on him on the edge of the area. The Brazilian went down easily but - to use a classic cliche - you've seen them given.
Javi Guerra
Wow. Wow. Wow.
I was slightly condescending in tone about some of Rayo Vallecano's forwards before kick-off but they have proved me wrong!
Rayo play a short corner and Bebe fires in a brilliant low cross which Cardiff City flop Javi Guerra slides home from a yard.
It was almost the moment! Bebe has a chance to run in on goal but a bad touch lets Jeremy Mathieu get the ball out for a corner. It was a brilliant flick by Patrick Ebert to put the Portuguese forward in on goal there.
