    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Derby

A much-needed win for Forest thanks to Nelson Oliveira's first-half goal which brought their first victory in nine games. And it would be hard to argue that it wasn't deserved, even for Derby fans. The Rams mustered just one shot on target after the interval and the Reds had the better chances in the first half too.

Derby's first loss in 11 games is hardly time to panic. And we all know that form goes... in a derby game.

    Goodnight all.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"We showed the same amount of commitment we have in the last few games but this time we took a chance when it came.

"We showed what we were all about for the first 15 minutes and then we gave a real disciplined performance.

"We had chances too and it was a well-deserved victory. The crowd played a huge part in getting us over the line in the last ten minutes. We are a good side in a a difficult moment but we stuck at it."

Derby County head coach Paul Clement told BBC Radio Derby:

"We're to blame for not getting the right result tonight for the way we played. We lost a bit of identity.

"We were unable to create the chances we have in recent games, which was disappointing. It's a reality check for everybody. What we'll need to do now is reflect on it and get back to our way against Cardiff."

It hurts. I feel for the Derby fans behind the goal too. The fluency wasn't there and we didn't have midfield runners. They just didn't have the legs and looked jaded and tired.

  8. FT: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Derbypublished at 21:32

Brian Laws, former Nottingham Forest defender and BBC Radio Nottingham summariser, said the Forest "gameplan was spot on and it was a thoroughly deserved win".

"Forest's energy levels were first class and they pressed really high up. It made them play the ball a bit longer.

"The levels of fitness and commitment outshone Derby. Where was the second-half onslaught that we were expecting?"

  9. FT: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Derbypublished at 21:29

Forest fans are running on to the pitch in celebration, a few seem to have got a bit too close to the Derby players.

They seem to be clearing off the playing area now but it's far from ideal. It's understandable of course but it shouldn't happen.

It's all over. Dougie Freedman looks chuffed to bits and mightily relieved. They did a brilliant job on their in-form rivals.

It comes to nothing and we are in to the final minute Derby piling forward but the ball goes to Dorus de Vries. That should be it.

Another Derby corner. Goalkeeper Scott Carson has come up.

The second corner is cleared and Forest race clear. Ryan Mendes wins a throw in. Sensible play by the wide man.

Corner for Derby in the first minute of added time is whipped in by Tom Ince. The Rams appeal for handball, but it's only another corner. Head coach Paul Clement has not looked a happy man in the second half.

Just over two minutes to go and Derby finally bring a save from Dorus de Vries, It's a good attempt at a diving header from Darren Bent but his effort has little power in it and is easy for the Forest keeper.

Cyrus Christie becomes the latest player to go in to the book. The first Derby player and the fourth overall. It's been a frustrating second half for the visitors. They have not had a shot on target after the break.

That was nearly 2-0 and you would think game over. But Scott Carson makes a smart save to deny Ryan Mendes from about eight yards

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Derby

Darren Bent. An old-fashioned goalscorer if ever there was one is now on and chasing an equaliser. Derby could do with something special from the ex-England striker. I forgot to tell you about Jacob Butterfield coming on for Johnny Russell too a few minutes back. That's all Derby's changes made now.
