By avoiding defeat today, Brighton have stretched their unbeaten run in the league to 18 games and also extends their club record.

Chris Hughton's side remain the only unbeaten side in the Football League having won nine and drawn eight so far.

The excellent Tendayi Darikwa digs out of a cross from the right and it falls to Chris Long on the edge of the six yard box and he pokes a toe at it but it drifts wide.

Burnley have certainly looked more likely to nick a winner here.

Ben Mee's long ball though is easily dealt with by Liam Rosenior.

Superb hold up play by Andre Gray showing the other side of his attacking play rather than just finishing. As he rolls Lewis Dunk the Brighton defender swings a leg at him and is booked.

Burnley right-back Tendayi Darikwa, who has been marauding down the wing all afternoon, beats his man twice down the right wing but just as he is about to deliver the ball is stolen off him.

From Joey Barton's resultant free-kick, Brighton let the ball bounce in the area as it curls out of play with no one able to get a touch on it.

Gordon Greer takes one for the team there. Burnley are looking to break and he stops the attack by holding back Andre Gray.

A Brighton corner is headed out but only as far as full-back Bruno. His first time volley hits a yellow shirt and goes harmlessly wide.

Good work by Brighton full-back Bruno to steal the ball from Scott Arfield high up the pitch.

However he is let down by his team mates as they lose the ball easily.

David Jones whips in another excellent corner from the right with his left foot.
