Scott Arfield gets a chance out of nothing.

Some incisive passing finally from Burnley and it falls to Arfield who, first time, blasted it with his right foot but it curls just wide of the post.

If it stays as a draw at full-time, Brighton will go level on points with Hull at the top of the Championship while Burnley will be two points behind them remaining fifth on goal difference.  

Ben Mee becomes the second player to be booked. The Burnley full-back is penalised for a clumsy challenge on Gordon Greer.

Cries of "come on Burnley" come out from the home fans.

They know their team are second best at the moment.

Brighton's recent pressure continues and Beram Kayal strikes in space from 25 yards out but his effort is always rising. Can the Seagulls make this pressure pay?

Brighton work themselves into a good position on the edge of the Burnley box but when the shot comes in the Clarets fly forward looking to counter attack.

Scott Arfield is unable to keep the ball though and Chris Hughton's side regain possession. They have certainly had the better of the last five minutes.

That is the last bit of action for Bobby Zamora whose goal after 58 seconds sparked that frantic opening few minutes. England Under-21 international Jake Forster-Caskey replaces him.

Inches away for Brighton from creating a superb chance. 

Bobby Zamora gets in down the left and cuts inside before standing up the ball towards the back post where Solly March is coming in. The Seagulls winger is just under the ball though and unable to make contact.

Rouwen Hennings' wait for a first Burnley goal goes on as he is brought off for summer signing Chris Long. 

He played with Andre Gray and Brentford last season, can those two combine for the hosts?

Just a slight lull in the game as Brighton hold onto possession.

A few tasty challenges go in from either side in the middle of the park but referee Simon Hooper is happy to allow play to continue.

The free-kick comes to nothing and the ball is hacked onto the roof of a stand at Turf Moor.

As play continues, that ball is caught by the television cameras rolling back off the stand and it comes onto the field of play so the referee is forced to stop the game as we have two balls on the pitch for a moment.

No multi ball action allowed of course... unfortunately.

A lazy challenge from Solly March and he is the first booking of the afternoon. 

Tracking back to the overlapping Ben Mee he trips the Burnley full-back and referee Simon Hooper shows him the card.

Brighton finally manage to work themselves towards the Burnley penalty area.

Bobby Zamora shows good strength to win the ball again but eventually the move peters out to nothing.

Michael Keane attacks the ball at the front post from David Jones' corner and it looks as if he should have done better as he holds his head in his hands afterwards.

Burnley still well forward at the moment though as Brighton are struggling to get out of their own half.

Burnley certainly on top after the break.

Tendayi Darikwa attempts a cross with the outside of his boot from the right wing but it is headed away with a number of claret shirts inside the box.

First chance of the second half goes to the hosts.

Rouwen Hennings nods it into the path of the on rushing George Boyd but from a long way out his effort is always sailing over.

No changes at half time and Brighton get us going again.

Can they make the same blistering start as the first half?

Both managers are striding across Turf Moor to their respective dug outs having had their say at the break, the players are out and we're nearly ready for the second period.
