Thanks for your company today. Join us again on Thursday, when Celtic will be looking to reignite their Europa League challenge at home to Ajax.

  2. Post update

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

A pretty honest assessment there from Dons boss Derek McInnes as his side miss a chance to go second in the Scottish Premiership.

  3. Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"I don't think we were convincing enough that we were going to keep a clean sheet.

"I thought Dougie Imrie was borderline offside, but I think Hamilton were worthy of their point, but so were we.

"There were some parts of today's game when Hamilton were fortunate not to lose another goal.

"It was not a great performance, but we've come away with a point from a difficult venue."

  4. Post update

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

We are still waiting on Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes to give his reaction. Sounds like he might not be too happy - and telling his players exactly that.

  5. BBC Radio Scotland pundit Willie Miller

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"Hearts and Aberdeen - and I know St Johnstone's Tommy Wright might disagree - have that little bit more than the rest. But there is not that much between all the teams."

  6. Dundee manager Paul Hartley on BBC Radio Scotland

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"If we can turn the draws into wins, we can have another successful season."

  8. Hamilton manager Martin Canning on BBC Radio Scotland

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"I think, over the balance of the game, we should have won the game as we were the better side in both halves.

"We will take the one point, but we need to keep winning and we will move on.

"Performance-wise, I am happy and, if we keep doing that, the wins will come."

  9. BBC Radio Scotland pundit Willie Miller

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"I think Aberdeen missed Ryan Jack in there in midfield to keep the game flowing. He was a big miss today."

  10. Post update

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Accies do move up a place, going back above Dundee into sixth place on goal difference.

  11. Post update

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen miss a chance to move back into second spot in the Premiership and are a point behind Hearts. They now trail leaders Celtic by seven points after the top three are all held to draws over the weekend.

  12. FULL-TIME

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

  13. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

A bit of panic in the Dons defence - Ash Taylor lashes the ball for a corner under little pressure - but Jamie Sendles-White sends his header well over the crossbar from the resulting corner.

  14. Get Involved #bbcscotfootball

Max Baggins-Craig: "Deserved equaliser for Hamilton. Had a feeling Aberdeen wouldn't have it so easy. Both deserve a point at least."

  15. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Amid that flurry of action, Andrew Considine and Cammy Smith have come on for Shay Logan and Peter Pawlett for Aberdeen, while Steven Boyd had replaced Greg Docherty in Accies' midfield. Not much time for them to make an impact as we move into three minutes of stoppage time.

  16. Dundee boss Paul Hartley on BBC Radio Scotland

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

"Hamilton look quite leggy and Aberdeen have had a couple of chances in the last five minutes."

  17. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen are now looking the more likely winners and a long drive from Kenny McLean is clutches into the chest by goalkeeper Michael McGovern.

    Dougie Imrie equalises for Hamilton
Image caption: Dougie Imrie equalised for Hamilton after Danny Ward failed to hold a shot from Gramoz Kurtaj
  19. YELLOW CARD

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Accies midfielder Gramoz Kurtaj beats the ball in frustration and gets booked as a result after he blasts the ball against the hand of Shay Logan on the edge of the Dons penalty box, but referee Willie Collum gives a free-kick outside the penalty box instead of a spot kick.

  20. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen almost restore their lead as Jonny Hayes' whizzes a drive from 30 yards, but goalkeeper Michael McGovern sprawls full length to turn the ball wide of the far post.

  21. GOAL

Hamilton Academical 1-1 Aberdeen (Dougie Imrie)

Dougie Imrie, Accies' top scorer this season, scores his fifth of the season as he pounces after Danny Ward can only parry Gramoz Kurtaj's low drive. The former Clyde man looked fractionally offside, but it counts.

  23. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Accies almost present Aberdeen with a second goal as Lucas' poor attempt at a clearance gives Willo Flood the chance to set up Adam Rooney, but the striker's low drive is straight at goalkeeper Michael McGovern.

  24. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Accies manager Martin Canning makes the first change, with Brazilian striker Alexandre D'Acol replacing on-loan Norwich City man Carlton Morris up front.

  25. BBC Radio Scotland pundit Willie Miller

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

"They have been much better in the second half, Aberdeen. I think Derek McInnes has told them to push up a bit to deny Hamilton space and they are beginning to take control."

  26. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Accies striker Carlton Morris is left incensed when he goes down on the edge of the penalty box under a challenge from Shay Logan. However, referee Willie Collum quite rightly decided that the Dons defender had just used his strength to win the ball.

  27. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen almost get off to an even quicker flier than they did in the first half, but Jonny Hayes heads wide after being left unmarked as goalkeeper Michael McGovern and defender Ziggy Gordon appear to leave a lofted cross to one another deep inside the Accies penalty box.

  28. KICK-OFF

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen start the second half at a New Douglas Park still bathed in winter sunshine.

  29. Defence turning to Ashes

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Mixed reaction to B team idea from Celtic and Rangers

Allan Duke: "Great idea. So many youth players in the past were overlooked with average foreign players preferred within the Old Firm and other top Scottish clubs. It might also bring more people to lower league games."

Robert McCluskie: "Why not just do what Killie do and play the good youngsters in their first team? They will learn far more that way rather than playing them all in a lower league. I think it is about 10 years since Killie last fielded a team without a home-grown player and on a lot of occasions more than half the line up is made up of home-grown players."

  32. BBC Radio Scotland pundit Willie Miller

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

"Defensively, Aberdeen have been as poor as they have been, with the two centre backs not taking responsibility and they are allowing the Hamilton midfield to dominate and create opportunities. How they have managed to get to half time without having a goal against them is beyond me."

  33. Post update

  34. HALF-TIME

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

  35. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Adam Rooney can't reach a cross from Niall McGinn and a wee tug on the Aberdeen striker's shirt from Ziggy Gordon made doubly sure of that.

  36. GREAT SAVE!

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Michael McGovern prevents a second goal for Aberdeen and a second for Kenny McLean as the midfielder's curling drive from 20 yards is heading for the far corner before the Northern Ireland goalkeeper stretches out his right hand to turn it round the post.

  37. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen close again as Graeme Shinnie flashes a cross across the face of goal, but it evades his team-mates and for a corner via a deflection.

  38. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

It is Aberdeen's turn to exert a bit of pressure. However, after Accies fail to clear, scorer Kenny McLean sends a volley from the edge of the penalty area high and handsome over the crossbar for what would have been three points if this was rugby union.

  39. BBC Radio Scotland pundit Willie Miller

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

"I am sure Martin Canning will be the happier in terms of play, but he will be disappointed that it is Aberdeen who have the lead."

  40. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Greg Docherty has a sight of goal again, but the Accies midfielder's low drive from 18 yards trundles harmlessly into the arms of goalkeeper Danny Ward.

  41. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Adam Rooney, who scored the winner with a penalty the last time them two met, shows his good and bad qualities. The striker superbly nutmegs Lucas to give himself a sight of goal inside the penalty box, but his aim towards the far post with the outside of his boot steers it towards the corner flag with Kenny McLean screaming for a pass in front of goal.

  43. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Carlton Morris goes close with a glancing header from a fine cross to the front post by Antons Kurakins, but the ball flies wide of the Dons' far post.

  44. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

On-loan Norwich City striker Carlton Morris should do better than fire straight at Danny Ward and Greg Docherty fires into the Dons goalkeeper's arms from a tight angle. By the law of averages, one of these should go in.

  45. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Midfielder Greg Docherty is next to threaten for Accies with a 30-yard drive that skims across the artificial surface but wide of the post.

  46. Dundee manager Paul Hartley on BBC Radio Scotland

"I think there's more goals in this game. Both teams are making too many mistakes."

  47. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Dougie Imrie causes a nervous moment in the Dons defence as he races to the by-line, but no Accies man can pounce on the low cross.

  48. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Jamie Sendles-White makes a goal-saving tackle as Aberdeen midfielder Peter Pawlett races clear behind the home defence.

  49. Get involved #bbcscotfootball

Max Baggins-Craig: "Always beefed my self up as a brilliant thrower, shown myself up big time, in local pub team derby, what a game to forget. I went to clear a swung-in pass from oppositions attack, completely mis-hit, onto my face & ended in back of my own net."

  50. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen could be on their way to a fifth straight win over Accies since a 3-0 defeat at New Douglas Park in October last year.

  51. GOAL

Hamilton Academical 0-1 Aberdeen (Kenny McLean)

Niall McGinn makes his mark on his return to the Dons starting line-up and, after Accies fail miserably to clear his cross, Kenny McLean fires his side ahead by lashing a 15-yard drive off the underside of the crossbar.

  52. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Aberdeen

The returning Grant Gillespie flashes a shot just wide of the Dons goal from 20 yards.

  53. CLOSE!

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen are nearly caught out as Dougie Imrie breaks clear and the forward's shot is beaten away unconvincingly by goalkeeper Danny Ward before defender Ash Taylor thumps the ball clear.

  54. Post update

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Aberdeen

The other Accies team news is that Jamie Sendles-White replaces the injured Jesus Garcia Tena in defence, Manager Martin Canning also said the Spaniard could have played at a push but would not be risked.

  55. KICK-OFF

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Aberdeen

We are off at Aberdeen are straight into attack.

  56. Post update

The minute's silence having been impeccably observed (you could even hear the birds tweeting), we are about to get underway.

  57. Post update

Here they come and we are a few minutes away from kick-off. There will be a minute's silence for those Paris attacks.

  58. Post update

The teams are in the tunnel preparing to come out into the winter sunshine.

  59. Ali out

Hamilton's star man this season, midfielder Ali Crawford, again misses out through injury. Accies manager Martin Canning has explained that he could have been risked, but it was a risk he was not prepared to take in case he has a setback.

However, Grant Gillespie returns to the Accies midfield after suspension, while Canning picks himself on the bench.

  60. LINE-UPS

Hamilton: McGovern, Gordon, Sendles-White, Tagliapietra, Kurakins, Imrie, MacKinnon, Kurtaj, Gillespie, Docherty, Morris. Subs: D'Acol, Canning, Longridge, Martin, Nade, Boyd, Ryan.

Aberdeen: Ward, Logan, Taylor, Reynolds, Shinnie, Hayes, Flood, Pawlett, McLean, McGinn, Rooney. Subs: Considine, Smith, Robson, Goodwillie, Quinn, Brown, McLaughlin.

    Referee: Willie Collum

  61. Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland

"The last three performances, there has been an improvement.

"The game against United was excellent. They are improving and it was fairly comfortable.

"Our main battle is with finding consistency and showing we are a good side."

  62. Jack out the box

Aberdeen have been forced into a change, with captain Ryan Jack missing from midfield because of an ankle injury picked up during training. His place is taken by Niall McGinn and the Northern Ireland forward should be an able replacement. Jack will probably miss next week's game as well.

  63. France tribute

BBC Radio Scotland's trackside reporter Chick Young is saying it could be an emotional start to the game, with Hamilton taking to the field wearing the French international team's change strip in honour of those who lost their lives in last week's Paris attacks.

Accies manager Martin Canning says he fully supports the decision taken by the board but says their main focus is winning three points.

Hamilton striker Christian Nade, who is on the bench today, was apparently shaken up because his sister was caught up with events over in his homeland.

  64. All systems go kart

Hopefully, the same fans had time to also head for New Douglas Park, where Accies are looking to end a run of five games without a win. Hamilton midfielder Grant Gillespie was in the Sunday papers saying that the squad have been galvanised by a bit of team bonding - a day out go-karting. Will Accies to race to victory against the Dons?

  65. You wouldn't let it lie

Some Aberdeen fans have taken Vic Reeves' famous catchphrase to heart and took a detour to Hampden Park this morning to unfurl a banner in front of the Scottish FA headquarters calling a fresh inquiry into Rangers' use of Employee Benefit Trusts after HM Revenue and Customs won a court appeal that ruled that the Ibrox club's former parent company's use of employee benefit trusts from 2001-2010 broke tax rules. The controversy rumbles on, especially in the Twitter world.

  66. Dundee manager Paul Hartley on BBC Radio Scotland

"When you come here, you've got to change your style of play. It is a new artificial surface installed during the summer and, because of the pitch, you have to be more direct."

  67. Get Involved

Yesterday also witnessed a rare piece of unanimity between Celtic and Rangers, with the Ibrox club's manager, Mark Warburton, saying he agreed with counterpart Ronny Deila's call for Scotland's top clubs to field B teams in the lower divisions.

But the biggest talking point of the day was in League One, where Brechin City goalkeeper Graeme Smith had to make an 83-mile dash north to face Stenhousemuir after turning up at the wrong stadium.

  68. Post update

That point for Dundee in Edinburgh yesterday meant that Hamilton slipped down to seventh place behind the Dens Park outfit, but Martin Canning's side will retake their position with at least a draw, while a victory would take them level on points with Ross County.

  69. Post update

Hearts' failure to take three points yesterday means that third-placed Aberdeen can leap a point above Craig Neilson's side and to within five points of Ronny Deila's Premiership leaders should they win at New Douglas Park.

  70. Post update

Second-top Hearts failed to capitalise on Celtic's slip up at home to Kilmarnock yesterday as the Edinburgh side were also held to a draw at Tynecastle by Dundee.

  71. Post update
