Okay folks, I'll sign off now. Thank you for your company this evening. Make you join us again tomorrow for another busy Saturday in Scottish football.
It's the Scottish Cup third round, so we should get an upset or two...
Quote MessageA draw is probably a fair reflection of the game. I'm just disappointed with the way we started. At times we passed it well but not often enough. The second half was disjointed but that might have been down to the amount of rain."
Tommy Wright, St Johnstone manager
St Johnstone definitely had more muscle in midfield but their forwards had a bit of an off night, with Steven MacLean very quiet. Michael O'Halloran set up the equaliser with a great run but he didn't contribute much after that.
Dundee have a few lively players in attack and midfield but do they lack an enforcer in the middle of the park? Someone who can throw his weight around and help protect the back four. I guess that's the role of Kevin Thomson, the skipper who missed out tonight through injury.
Quote MessageI thought we started brilliantly and we showed we're a good outfit on our day. I'm really pleased with the players' effort. We've been to Tynecastle and now that's another good result at a hard place to go."
Paul Hartley, Dundee manager
We'll have more live action tomorrow, starting with Rangers v St Mirren in the Petrofac Training Cup semi-final. That one will be live across BBC Radio Scotland, the BBC Sport website and BBC ALBA.
In the Premiership, we have:
Aberdeen v Ross County
Motherwell v Hearts
Kilmarnock v Partick Thistle
Dundee Utd v Hamilton
St Johnstone maintain their record of scoring in every league game this season. No other top flight side has managed that.
The first half was packed full of action, with two good goals and a horrible sleet shower thrown in. The second half was just horrible...
St Johnstone 1-1 Dundee
It's Dundee, so it's a draw. Five of their last six matches have ended with this scoreline. Saints miss the chance to move third in the table, while the visitors edge up to sixth place.
There's nothing coming off for anyone out there as play deteriorates. Late drama looks highly unlikely as a once promising match fizzles out.
We're into three minutes of stoppage-time in Perth.
Joe Shaughnessy gets his head to a free-kick as Chris Millar shells it long into the Dundee box but the Saints defender can only steer the ball well wide from 16 yards.
We're into the final five minutes and tempers are starting to fray, with a few tasty tackles going in. Will we get a winner or are Dundee heading for yet another draw?
Ricardo Calder unsettles the home defence with a strong run and he pokes the ball on to Greg Stewart, who takes aim with a curling shot from the edge of the box. However, the effort is weak and easily snaffled up by Allan Mannus.
St Johnstone's top-scorer Steven MacLean has been very quiet this evening and he's off for an early bath as we get a look at Craig Thomson. The 20-year-old will take over in midfield, with Michael O'Halloran joining John Sutton in attack.
Saints win a free-kick to the right of the penalty box and goalkeeper Scott Bain punches clear from David Wotherspoon's whipped delivery. The midfielder is then booked for kicking the ball away after a foul is given against him.
Dundee make their last change as Nicky Low makes way for Ricardo Calder. The teenage sub is on loan from Aston Villa and he can really shift.
David Wotherspoon is wincing again but this time in frustration as his curling shot flashes wide of the far post. The Saints midfielder did well to drift past a couple of tackles in the box but the strike didn't match that good work.
A couple of changes to report. John Sutton replaces Chris Kane in the St Johnstone attack, while Dundee defender Tomas Konrad is on for a limping Julien Etxabeguren.
David Wotherspoon is wincing in pain as Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain clatters into his shins when sliding out to gather the ball. He'll be fine...
Midway through the second half and it's all gone rather quiet. I'm sure home manager Tommy Wright would like to see Michael O'Halloran get on the ball a bit more. He's a player that can make things happen with his pace and direct style.
