Defenders are on top right now as the chances dry up. That might have something to do with the more benign conditions but it's certainly less entertaining.
Saints striker Chris Kane is very late in a challenge with Julien Etxabeguren, catching the Spaniard on the toes, which is never nice but always worse on a cold, wet night. Referee Alan Muir keeps his cards in his pocket as he serves out a warning.
Much like the first half, play is whizzing from one end to the other at a rapid rate of knots. It's been an absorbing contest but if I had one gripe it would be set-pieces; corners and free-kicks have been of a low standard so far.
It's Loy v Anderson round two, with the Saints defender making a vital block from the Dundee striker's low cross in a busy penalty box.
Rory Loy goes down in a tangle with Steven Anderson on the edge of the penalty box. The visiting fans cry in hope of a spot-kick but the foul goes against the Dundee striker.
The game is back up and running as St Johnstone start the second half. The rain and sleet has gone off but it will still be very squelchy under foot.
It's been lively and we've had two good goals. More of the same please.
"Saints are one of the few teams that can still win the treble," an optimistic fan tells roving BBC Scotland reporter Brian McLauchlin at McDiarmid Park. He also claims to have been following the club for "100 years", so he might not be entirely serious...
Quote MessageIf you ask people who the best St Johnstone player is, you'll get a lot of different answers. They are a real team."

But the visitors' lead didn't last long as David Wotherspoon crashed in a powerful shot to level matters.
Quick recap. Dundee got off to a flyer at McDiarmid Park, with Kane Hemmings drilling home an excellent strike.
St Johnstone 1-1 Dundee
All square at the interval. Should we be surprised with draw specialists Dundee in town?
Just a few minutes remaining in the first half as play rages from end to end, without either goalkeeper being seriously tested.
Steven Anderson gives Allan Mannus and the home fans a real fright with a woeful back-pass. The goalkeeper manages to just get there ahead of Kane Hemmings to hack the ball clear.
This is a good spell for St Johnstone and Paul McGinn does well to head clear under pressure from Chris Kane at the back post.
Saints midfielder Murray Davidson runs on to a Joe Shaughnessy cross to thunder a volley over the top from near the penalty spot. Dundee boss Paul Hartley won't be happy at the room Davidson had there.
St Johnstone striker Steven MacLean has a shot from 25 yards and it's not one of his best efforts as the ball slithers wide on the slick surface.
Dundee striker Greg Stewart darts between a couple of opponents to find room for a shot on the edge of the penalty area but the effort is skewed wide of the target.
Good news. BBC Radio Scotland commentator Rob Maclean is back on air, sounding smooth as ever, after those technical issues.
