Good stuff again from the Cherries as Junior Stanislas weaves into the area but then drags a cross/shot across goal and wide. Bournemouth looking good.

It's been pretty uneventful at Norwich this afternoon, but the hosts have just had the best chance of the game so far.

Russell Martin's cross reaches Dieumerci Mbokani but the DR Congo forward pokes the ball just wide.

    Manchester United 0-0 Swansea

Jack Cork's in a spot of bother with his sight. The Swansea man is currently receiving some drops in his left eye and is blinking widely to try and sort it out.

Meanwhile, David de Gea finally has something to do! The United keeper collects the ball after a half-volley from Wayne Routledge.

  4. goal

GOAL - Sunderland 1-0 Aston Villapublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2016

    Patrick van Aanholt (30 mins)

If ever a goal summed up a season, it's this one for Aston Villa. They had started well, were on top and now concede a real turkey of a strike.

Sunderland left-back Patrick van Aanholt carries the ball forwards, the Villa defence stand off and hold a line 18 yards out. Van Aanholt shoots, more due to a lack of options than any real belief he would score, and it comes off Micah Richards and squeaks inside the post. Massive deflection.

    Sunderland 0-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa continue to be on top and the home fans have seen enough. They are growing increasingly restless as a red-and-white shirt just hoofs the ball aimlessly forwards.

  6. 'Dull, dull, dull'published at 15:28

    Man Utd 0-0 Swansea

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender at Old Trafford for Radio 5 live

"The Swansea goalkeeper’s not made a save, has he? Dull, dull, dull. It’s as though Manchester United are told not to make a mistake, so their players get so far and decide: ‘I’m letting someone else have it.’”

Not the greatest game so far, granted. But we live in hope for some goals. At some point. Maybe. Fingers crossed.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:26

    Leicester 0-0 Bournemouth

And there is Jamie Vardy! He's been quiet but he really should have scored. Leo Ulloa miscued a shot into his path, Vardy's first touch killed the ball and he then rattled the post from seven yards out, with just the keeper to beat.

    Fine margins.

Leicester's top scorer Jamie Vardy's been battling a virus all week and the striker has made an unusually quiet start to this match, touching the ball just once.

  11. 'It's a big call by Koeman'published at 15:24

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman decided to leave out Sadio Mane this afternoon after the midfielder was late for a team meeting.

“If you’ve got rules, then you’ve got to keep to them. But it’s a big call for Ronald Koeman to leave out Sadio Mane. If he wins, fine. If he doesn’t, you’re going to get players saying: ‘Gaffer, are you syure about that?’

“I was late for a coach when I was at Charlton, and the only way I could get round it was to jump in my car and get to the ground before the team got there.”

Plenty of build-up from Arsenal but no breakthrough yet. Newcastle look solid...

  13. 'You want your best players to be playing'published at 15:23

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea & Norwich striker on Final Score

On Sadio Mane being dropped to the bench after not turning up on time for a team meeting.

"You want your best players to be playing. Imagine the boost for Norwich seeing him only on the bench. Neil Lennon (at Celtic) was once 45 minutes late and Martin O'Neill still played him."

No goals at Norwich. Are Southampton missing their tricky winger?

    Manchester United 0-0 Swansea.

The home fans get excited when Wayne Rooney earns a free-kick on the edge of the area, but he can only hit it straight at the wall.

Rooney then gets the chance to make amends when he's left with acres of space in the box by the Swansea defence, but his slice can only hit the side netting.

Bouremouth still seeing all of the ball at the King Power, where the hosts are subdued.

The Cherries have had 78% of the ball!

  18. Postpublished at 15:18

    Manchester United 0-0 Swansea

The dull and damp January weather has set in at Old Trafford and it's a little slippy out there.

Not much action at either end, but United goalkeeper David de Gea just caused his defence a bit of worry with an unexpected short clearance.

  19. Postpublished at 15:17

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle have a rare attack and call Petr Cech into action, Georginio Wijnaldum clips a header on goal which Cech pushes out and Jack Colback turns the loose ball back on goal.

  20. 'Schweinsteiger's too far back'published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2016

    Man Utd 0-0 Swansea

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender at Old Trafford for Radio 5 live

"Bastian Schweinsteiger is almost playing in Manchester United’s back four. Chris Smalling can come out and play, and Phil Jones can come out and play. Schweinsteiger should be further forward. It's so much safety first from United."
