Norwich return to a more familiar looking line-up after making sweeping changes for Saturday's FA Cup defeat by Manchester City.

Goalkeeper Declan Rudd, left-back Robbie Brady and midfielder Wes Hoolahan are among the incoming players, while winger Matt Jarvis returns to the bench after missing over two months with a knee injury.

One glaring omission from the Stoke XI as far as the home fans (and fantasy football managers across the land) are concerned. Swiss winger Xherdan Shaqiri misses out after picking up a hamstring strain in training yesterday.

Goalkeeper Jack Butland, along with attacking pair Marko Arnautovic and Bojan, return as expected after being rested for the FA Cup win at Doncaster.

Hello! It's fair to say that this match won't capture the imagination of many neutrals, but sometimes - just sometimes - these sort of games throw up a classic.

However, the omens aren't good. Just 11 goals have been scored in the past eight meetings between the sides....Stoke have bagged just 10 home goals this season - the third lowest tally in the Premier League....and Norwich have lost five of their past six league games on the road.

So come on lads! Prove us all wrong and rustle up a thriller worthy of nabbing top billing on Match of the Day.

    0-1, 1-1, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, 1-1.

The numbers don't lie. And I can't dress it up either.

Stoke v Norwich has seen less excitement than an entire series of Antiques Roadshow in recent years.

But, as D:Ream memorably sang,, external things can only get better.
