Not much to get excited about so far. It could be a frustrating afternoon for the Spurs. Cagey.

  2. Lucky Llorispublished at 21 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

What is the Spurs keeper doing? Hugo Lloris makes a complete hash of a clearance and gives it to Wilfried Zaha on the right wing.

With the keeper back-peddling, Zaha sends in a low cross to the front post, but Connor Wickham can't get anything on it and the chance is gone.

"With the run that Palace have been on, there is a reluctance for them to come out with all guns blazing as they feel Spurs will have the quality to pick them off.

"If they can keep it level, I think we would see a very different performance from Palace in the second half."

  4. CLOSE!published at 17 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

Two chances for Tottenham. First, Harry Kane's low shot/cross is blocked by Wayne Hennessey's legs. Then from the resulting Christian Eriksen corner, Toby Alderweireld is free 15 yards out but powers a header wide. Should have hit the target.

  8. CLOSE!published at 10 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Tottenham

An early sighter for Son Heung-min. He scored the only goal when Spurs beat Palace 1-0 in September, and is close at Selhurst Park.

He has space 25 yards out but can only pull his shot wide of the post.

Kieran Trippier nearly gets lucky as his mis-hit cross from the right-wing forces the under-pressure Wayne Hennessey to tip the ball over the bar.

It is a big game for the Eagles keeper, who has retained his place despite mistakes against Aston Villa and Manchester City in their last two matches.

But a nice confidence-booster. Spurs, who have dominated the possession, but not done much with it then waste the corner.

What a waste. Jason Puncheon, 25 yards out, tries to curl the free-kick over the wall but he gets too much on it as it harmlessly drifts over Hugo Lloris' crossbar.

Some early good possession for Tottenham, but Eric Dier gives it away and Wilfried Zaha is chopped down by Danny Rose in a dangerous position.

Palace have lost their past three Premier League matches, and boss Alan Pardew says Harry Kane is the best finisher in the league.

High praise indeed for the Spurs and England man. Will Palace be able to stop Kane?

They face a tough task as the striker has netted 11 times in his past 13 matches.

"Palace have had their scoring problems of late - though the scoreline at Manchester City last weekend did them scant justice - but I think their lofty position in the table is worth as much praise as Spurs are getting.

"How many people believed Alan Pardew could maintain the improvement he brought to Selhurst Park last season? I did. And I think he'll prove the current malaise is a mere blip.

"Of course, Tottenham are in great form and their defensive record is superb.

"And, yes, they haven't lost away in the league since the opening day, an unlucky defeat at Old Trafford. Yet something tells me they'll find this a very tricky fixture."
