There is the best chance of the half so far. The only real chance of the half so far. Dusan Tadic chips the ball into the oath of Sadio Mane, who has a clear sight of goal but can't control the ball and bring it down. He tries to swing his boot through the ball, but it has already skipped away from him. It is a big let-off for United.

Hold on, we've got a corner. Can Southampton make anything from this? Nope. The ball is swung right across the box and out for a goal kick. Dreadful.

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter

"We have 13 minutes left in this half, if it stays 0-0, that will be the 11th successive game that Manchester United have not scored in the first-half at Old Trafford. That includes 10 0-0 draws and one 0-1 when they were losing to Norwich. That is incredible."

This is terrible. Both sides are struggling to build anything meaningful in the opposition half. In fact, they're both struggling to even keep hold of the ball. Yes, you can praise the defensive work, but it makes for a very dull affair.
