Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth
Having said that, it's Sunderland who mount the first significant attack. Patrick van Aanholt plays a good pass to Adam Johnson and the midfielder surges forward, but his pass to Jeremain Lens is overhit and runs out of play.

A quiet start to the second half, but it's Bournemouth who look more confident and composed on the ball.

Sam Allardyce enjoyed his side's equaliser. It's all to play for in the second half.

We're back up and running. Can either of these sides find a winner?

Thomas Hewitt: Patrick van Aanholt now has 4 goals in 4 games. Jamie Vardy your record is under threat from a left back!!!
Just to be clear, Van Aanholt has found the net in four straight Premier League games - however two of the shots were subsequently credited as own goals.

And that's the interval. What a bonus for Sunderland. Bournemouth will feel sick.

Trevor Sinclair
Former England winger on Final Score
"I think he is anticipating, he has a gamble. It is a great ball in and he doesn’t have to break his stride to put the ball in."
Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth
Well, well, well, after soaking up all that punishment, Sunderland will go in level at the break.
Fabio Borini slips a cute through ball in between centre-back and full-back and Patrick van Aanholt, bursting forward on the overlap, collects the ball and rifles past Artur Boruc.

Fabio Borini lets fly from 25 yards but his low strike is well saved by Boruc. On second look, it took a deflection which took some of the sting out of it.

Marc Pugh wriggles and twists on the edge of the box to buy space for a shot but his attempted curler floats harmlessly over.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth

Finally a chance for the hosts. John O'Shea gets forward and plants a good downward header which forces Artur Boruc into his first action.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
Sunderland string a few nice passes together, but then Adam Johnson wastes the chance by trying an overambitious backheel.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
That's better from Sunderland. Nice interchange of passes plays Borini in down the right and Charlie Daniels is forced to concede the corner. The set piece is overhit though.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
Honestly, I can't overstate how one-sided this is. It's like watching attack v defence at the moment, Bournemouth - centre-backs on the halfway line - just going through their pass-and-move repertoire. Steve Cook unleashes a shot from distance which clears the crossbar.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
One-way traffic. Junior Stanislas wins a knockdown and the ball rolls to Benik Afobe. Stanislas, unattended, is screaming for the reverse pass, but Afobe chooses to unload himself and draws a good save for Mannone.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
Junior Stanislas lets fly with a drive from a tight angle. Parried by Mannone. It's all Bournemouth, there's a second goal there for them.
Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth
Whistles from the Wearside crowd. Sunderland just can't hang onto the ball in the centre of the park at the moment. Bournemouth camped in the Sunderland half.
