  1. Manager reaction - Pulispublished at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    West Brom 0-0 Aston Villa

Albion manager Tony Pulis: "We had to grind it out, it was a typical derby game, very ferocious, with effort and commitment. We've had eight games in four weeks and although people might be disappointed, the effort and commitment put in was first class.

"We need every point to maintain our Premier League status - and that's what we've done."

  2. Manager reaction - Gardepublished at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    West Brom 0-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde: “I'm a little bit disappointed because we wanted three points. In another situation we might be happy with a point but we need more points than that. We tried, we did our best, especially in the second half, but they defended well.

“If you see the team playing now, we look more like a team now than we used to. Players have the right attitude, but sometimes we miss talent or quality to score goals.

On Jordan Ayew’s first-half penalty shout: “I talked with the referee and he told me he didn’t see it like that. Even without a penalty we created many chances and with more accuracy could have scored.”

"I just don’t think they have same quality as Arsenal and Manchester City but they are good enough for the top four."

Louis van Gaal is speaking to the BBC now. We'll bring you the quotes as we get them.

His opening gambit is that he feared being sucker-punched by a set-piece.

    His fear was realised.

"It was more a zero-zero game but in the end we lost," he tells Match of the Day's Martin Fisher.

  9. 'The floodgates opened'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    Leicester 3-0 Stoke

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"Three goals, I have to say until Ryan Shawcross went off I couldn’t see Leicester breaking Stoke down.

"It was like the floodgates opened but nevertheless, Leicester took full advantage of Stoke's inability to defend when Shawcross went off."

    Shawcross is Stoke's Kompany...

  10. 'Nobody can believe it'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    Leicester 3-0 Stoke

    Leicester City

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri: "It was very difficult to fight against Stoker but we scored at the right time. I think it was the first goal outside of the box. It was important to be top in January because we have some big and tough matches in February.

"We can't press every match but we tried to do that today. They tried to catch us with big diagonal passes but we covered it very well.

"I am pleased because I always tell Jamie Vardy it is not important to score a goal, it is important to press and when you score, then it is normal. I am very happy with him.

"Nobody can believe it. Our fans are dreaming and I want them to continue to dream. I don't know if we are a contender at this moment. February is a big month and after that month I can say something more realistic."

Just two defeats in 11 for the Cherries, but it's still just four points above the drop zone for Eddie Howe's side. Can they stay afloat?

  12. As bad as it has been?published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    Man Utd 0-1 Southampton

    Guy Mowbray
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Old Trafford on Final Score

"I just wonder if, in the circumstances, is that as bad as it has been? Manchester United should have been full of momentum and optimism after winning at Anfield last week.

"They never got going, they never looked likely to win. It was pedestrian, one shot on target in the entire match. Yes a dismal day for Manchester United but let this be Southampton’s day."

  13. 'We dominated the game'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "We dominated the early stages, we were in total control. Today was a real number nine's goal from Benik Afobe and he was a real handful.

"We just lost our grip. We craved the second goal, we were so on top, and the second goal eluded us.

"The pleasing thing is the resilience we showed in the second half. There are positives to take - we've only lost two games in 11 now. But today we were the dominant team and that's the disappointment."

David Huntley: Must be ambitious, appoint Giggs and ask him to return to the days of playing with true wingers and strike partnerships.

Ajay Patel: If United don't sack LVG, it confirms they're content with mediocrity. Want to attract top players? Then change the manager.

  16. 'To be top is important'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2016

    Leicester 3-0 Stoke

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri: "It was a difficult match because Stoke City are a very difficult team, solid and strong. We wanted to win, to be top of the league at the end of January is very important for us.

"This is one of the best [sides I have managed at]. Our strength is our passion. We put everything into it and that is what I love about these players."
