Newcastle's strikers may have made pigs' ears out of some headed chances this afternoon but defender Jamaal Lascelles knows the way to goal. A straightforward, downward header beats Heurelho Gomes and gives Newcastle a chance. 

The game at Old Trafford has certainly improved. Chances for both sides in the second half but neither yet to get the opening goal. You get the impression one could be enough for either side, as it was in this fixture last season when Southampton won 1-0.

It's not often you see Jack Butland get one wrong but he has there. A great ball over the top from Danny Drinkwater puts Jamie Vardy away on goal, Butland doesn't know whether to come out or not and he does neither in the end. Vardy toes it past him and then slots in from a tight angle.
