Blackburn have the first corner of the game and after a mini-scramble it's behind for another. Second time around it fails to clear the first man and is easily cleared to safety. 

At the other end Eric Lichaj clatters a clearance off Ben Marshall but luckily the rebound flies wide of the target. Lively start to this one. 

Blackburn keeper Jason Steele is called into action for the first time with Jamie Ward testing him with a low drive from 20 yards. 

And it's Blackburn who get us under way here at Ewood Park.

It's not all about the Championship tonight, with Leicester looking to reclaim top spot in the Premier League by beating champions Chelsea at the King Power. 

That's the very same Chelsea who are currently sitting only one point above the relegation zone. 

And I bet Villa fans would have been delighted at the start of the season if you'd told them they'd be nine points behind Chelsea 11 days before Christmas!

Rovers have won their last two, are unbeaten in seven - they haven't lost since the Lancashire derby defeat by Burnley on 24 October - and will go seventh with a win this evening.

But Forest have taken 10 points from a possible 15 themselves and a win would take them level on points with their hosts.

We won't, unfortunately, have Mr Shearer's goals to entertain us this evening.

But this fixture hasn't been short on goals in recent times, with 15 flying in during the last three meetings.
