  5. Are you injured or not, Papiss?published at 13:46

    Watford v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

What's going on with Papiss Cisse? One minute he's out for three months, then days later he's back training. Why didn't he just ask for a day off...

Steve McClaren explains: "Papiss has been out on the field running and as long as he keeps running, he could be back training next week.

"On medical advice, we are letting him rehabilitate and he is progressing very quickly in that rehab. There may come a point where he breaks down or he comes right the way through and he is fit.

"Hopefully we will see him soon."

  6. Smallest squad of the day?published at 13:42

West Brom v Bristol City (15:00)

More than 5,000 Bristol City fans will be at West Brom this afternoon and they will be wondering whether their team can name a full squad.

The Championship strugglers have only 17 players in their squad and, with three injury doubts, the Robins could potentially only name three subs.

Surely they can grab some youngsters from somewhere?

Jon Evans: Slightly worried with Villa today. May be winning but still looking pretty poor. Not even sure they are championship standard. #bbcfootball.

If Yaya Toure runs rings around Norwich today, the Canaries can blame Africa.

Yaya is seething that he didn't win the continent's player of the year award the other day - and let his feeling be known.

He said: "Yaya will look after himself, and let Africa look after itself. Like I'm often told, you shouldn't worry too much about Africa, because Africa will be the first to let you down."

There you have it. Just don't forget his birthday...

  11. 'Koeman won't make changes'published at 13:34

Southampton v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

Could one of these two teams go all the way this year? A kinder draw than the one they've got in the third round and they've certainly got a chance.

Ronald Koeman will be playing a strong Southampton team. He's one of the few who doesn't like to change for the sake of it.

"I think we are not in the situation to do a lot of changes," he said. "What we need is to continue to do what we’re doing and find a better balance in scoring goals and trying to play our football.

"I’m now one and a half seasons here and I never changed a lot because I don’t believe in rotation in football."

There's a lot to like about Ronald..

  19. 'Hopefully there'll be mud everywhere'published at 13:26

    Newport v Blackburn (15:00 GMT)

Newport County are in the third round for the first time in 30 years - and they are itching to mark the occasion by dumping former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers out.

Newport manager John Sheridan wants to make it as uncomfortable as possible for the visitors.

"It’s just two teams against each other on a pitch that isn’t a bowling green. Hopefully it’ll be a bit like playing in the 1970s or 80s with mud everywhere," said Sheridan., external

“And when we’ve got 2,500 fans they make a racket behind me so if we have 5,000 I know it’s going to be a brilliant atmosphere and it will feel like there’s 15,000 or 20,000 there."

    Mud everywhere. Sounds fun.
