    Oxford 0-1 Swansea

Oxford guilty of overplaying? They piece together a smart move down the right but Kemar Roofe, after brilliantly skipping past Franck Tabanou, dilly-dallies and then puts his cross behind Ryan Taylor in the middle. Lovely feet from Roofe though...

"It drops down from a great height but Jonjo Shelvey watches it, gets his body over it and strikes it well.

"It's great technique but he'll be disappointed not to hit the target again.

    "He's getting closer though."

"Michael Appleton's side have done him proud in this first half, they've had a go and been bright in attack.

"They just switched off briefly and Swansea were good enough to punish them."

  6. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Oxford 0-1 Swansea

Getting closer! Jonjo Shelvey has another effort but this time he cracks a volley just over the top after Oxford clear a cross. Lovely connection on that one. Sweet off the instep, the sort of volley you don't even feel...

    Oxford 0-1 Swansea

Oxford have rallied well to Swansea's slick spell. Chris Maguire has a shot from 18 yards which Kristoffer Nordfeldt hangs on to in the Swans net.

Midfielder John Lundstram then cracks a swerving shot over the top into the car park behind the goal. That's got windscreen issues all over it. Crack!

    Oxford 0-1 Swansea

Swansea midfielder Matty Grimes slides in Marvin Emnes with a great throughball but the winger can't gather it in. That goal has ignited Swansea's fire, they suddenly look a decent side again. Oxford need to hang on.

Jonjo Shelvey doesn't shoot this time but shanks a pass out of play. His passing accuracy in the Oxford half is less than 40%. That's a fail in any exam...

"That was just cutting edge from Swansea. Oxford dominated and Swansea have just passed a couple of balls into the midfield.

"Montero got the ball, played it inside and carried on his run. It was a bit of a Lionel Messi finish. He was clean through on the goalkeeper but decided to backheel it. It was an unbelievable finish.

"Oxford have to keep their heads as there will be no way back if it goes to 2-0."

That's one of the goals of the round. Cheeky, impudent, precocious, class.

Oxford need not be disheartened though. They were well on top before that piece of Ecuadorian gold.

"That's a magnificent goal and it's Jefferson Montero at his best

"What a lovely touch from Marvin Emnes as well to turn it into his path coming off the left.

"It's such a cheeky little finish with the back of his heel and that's just what Alan Curtis and Swansea needed."

    Jefferson Montero (23 mins)

    Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant finish!

Swansea have been on the back foot but they craft a wonderful goal from nothing. Jefferson Montero cuts in from the left, plays a one-two with Marvin Emnes and then backheels the ball into the corner. Foxed goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.

    Premier League class.

"That's Oxford's first sight of goal and it was a great ball in for Ryan Taylor to attack.

"He then produces a lovely little glancing header and it's a great save from Kristoffer Nordfeldt even if it was at a good height."

    Oxford 0-0 Swansea

George Baldock has been winning rave reviews at right-back for Oxford this season and you can see why, he's started like a League Two Cafu, tearing up and down the pitch. He links up neatly with Alex MacDonald twice but his cross is overcooked.
