Cardiff are trying to stretch play, taking advantage of their large pitch. They're managing to drag Shrewsbury about but no real chances yet. It's fair to say this one hasn't caught fire yet.

Paul Harris: A weekend for very dodgy penalty decisions. Man Utd and Spurs should be very grateful. #bbcfootball #FACup.

Robert Gleed: It's a blatant penalty, he's stuck his arm out and punched the ball away, irrelevant whether it was on purpose or not! #bbcfacup.

Graham Old: Having seen the "penalty" Leicester were very unlucky. Very bad decision. #bbcfacup.

Was it about a penalty? You decide - but there was no doubt about the finish from the spot...

  6. This is a positive result - Ranieripublished at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2016

    Tottenham 2-2 Leicester

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says: "I didn't see the penalty, there were two players in front of me, but the more important thing is that the referee gave the penalty so it is a penalty.

"I'm very pleased with our performance. We had eight players who had not been playing for some time, but now they played and they deserved a positive result - 2-2 is a positive result."

  8. Record breakers?published at 18:03 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2016

    Cardiff 0-0 Shrewsbury

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

"If Oxford’s thrilling win against Swansea captured the essence of the FA Cup's allure, today’s other match involving a Welsh side looks like it could be a decidedly less magical affair.

"Cardiff host Shrewsbury and, with a crowd of around 5,000 expected, the Bluebirds have closed their largest part of their home ground, the Ninian Stand.

"The lowest attendance at this stadium was the 4,194 present for Cardiff’s FA Cup third-round win against Colchester last season. It seems that record could be under threat this evening."

"He was doubted but he's dealt with everything so well, even waving away any jokes or insults against him."

    Cardiff 0-0 Shrewsbury

It's a sodden pitch in south Wales and the Cardiff defenders look wary of making any slips when in possession. It's a night for lumping it clear of danger. No fancy stuff.

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

"It was a very promising debut from Demarai Gray, he showed great maturity and worked his socks off during the first half.

"Then he saw a lot more of the ball in the second half, he's quick and runs well with the ball.

"He was so unlucky not to score but what an effort it was cutting in from the left."

"You want to be playing all the time, but it is down to the manager and I just wanted to make an impact when I came on.

"We have a great bunch of lads, the staff, the players and hopefully we can keep working hard and keep progressing.

"The fans kept us in the game and we're happy we could keep them in it with a replay."

Chris Mervin: No doubt that was a penalty, arm was across Rose and pushed the ball away, he was clearly looking at the ball and knew that

John Southworth: So many handball decisions simply come down to how refs interpret ball to hand opposed to hand to ball. Too much inconsistency

Paul Gill: I might be the only one but that's a pen for me, changes direction of ball and takes it out of the path of the Spurs player
