Ainsley Maitland-Niles went on a speculative run and curled in a left-foot effort from the edge of the box with Ipswich's first shot on target.

Mick McCarthy continues to shout himself horse on the touchline as Portsmouth are under pressure for the first time tonight.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Wycombe

    Dean Saunders
Former Wales striker at Villa Park for BBC Radio 5 live

"Aston Villa need to put a pattern of play together with no opponents on the field - just so they can work out how to play with one and another, what to do with the ball.

"At the moment they look like they don't know what to do with it. They look like they are just making it up."

  10. CLOSE!published at 21:04

    Portsmouth 2-0 Ipswich

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Fratton Park

Portsmouth should have had this tie sewn up.

Marc McNulty, scorer of their second goal, had a great chance to put the game to bed just after half-time when Gary Roberts played him in on goal.

But, Bartosz Bialkowski denied him with a low save to his left from the edge of the box.

Captain Michael Doyle then flashed a left-foot shot wide from Roberts’ cleverly worked free-kick.

    Bristol City 0-1 West Brom

    John Hartson
Former Wales striker at Ashton Gate for BBC Radio 5 live

"That's a brilliant finish from Salomon Rondon.

"Talk about composure and skill - he brought the ball down with ease on his chest and just tucked it past the Bristol City goalkeeper.

"He hasn't done a lot in the game but that is why he is in the side. That goal could decide this scrappy game."
