    Norwich City

I'm beginning to worry for Norwich City, mind. You don't lose against Aston Villa and stay in the Premier League. It's one of life's modern rules.

Like abducting one of Liam Neeson's children in Taken. You know it won't end well.

Speaking after the game, Alex Neil, who looks more like Ross Kemp than Ross Kemp at the moment, said: "This is a test of character. The rest of the season will show whether we have enough character in the group."

    Manchester City

In fact, all is not well at City. All of a sudden, Manuel Pellegrini is making excuses about injuries, lack of player availability and fixture congestion.

The club will write to the Football Association to complain about the scheduling of their FA Cup fifth-round match at Chelsea.

The tie will be shown on BBC One on 21 February, three days before City face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

City are chasing four trophies, and a source said the club were "furious".

The BBC and FA tried to find a way to screen the game on Saturday but said "conflicting fixtures and safety concerns" made it impossible.

Pellegrini had suggested he would play a weakened side if his team were made to play on the Sunday.

    Bournemouth v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)

Arsene Wenger has been in good form in the media this week, and he was particularly interesting on Pep Guardiola's imminent arrival at Manchester City.

Asked about the impact on City between now and the end of the season, Wenger said:, external “What is for sure is that the effect is not neutral.

“It will either go very positive or very negative. And that is very difficult to predict. We have seen that at big tournaments when the national team coach leaves afterwards. It’s difficult. Is it a volatile situation? Yes.”

    Bournemouth v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)

Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe has had to do it the hard way since Arsenal let him leave. However, he's come full circle and could line up against the Gunners this afternoon.

He failed to make a single first-team appearance in his five years with Arsene Wenger, and he told the Guardian:, external “Maybe it was better to leave Arsenal without playing a game because everyone knows I didn’t get a chance.

"If I had played four or five games and was terrible, you start thinking you are an Arsenal reject. For me it was just that the chance didn’t come.”

  14. 'Leicester have the country behind them'published at 11:08 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2016

    Bournemouth v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)

Arsenal are eight points behind Leicester at the moment, although they can cut that gap to five points today.

Manager Arsene Wenger is wise enough to realise everyone is rooting for Leicester. But, probably quite rightly, thinks some of us are being contradictory.

"Of course. And it's natural. It's normal," Wenger said when asked if the whole country was behind Leicester

"The advantage they have until the end of the season, apart from our fans and the City fans and Tottenham fans, the rest of the country is behind Leicester.

"You reproach me about not buying big names but you will support the team who have no big names."

"Yep, I'm OK. I know I said Manchester United can still win the league, but I'm not joking. Honest."

I've always thought of Michael Carrick as a measured bloke. The type of bloke who keeps things simple: much like he does on the pitch.

So it surprises me that he thinks Manchester United can still win the league.

LvG's men visit Chelsea today and are currently 13 points behind Leicester. Speaking to Sky Sports,, external Carrick said: "We still want to be up there challenging and fighting and giving ourselves every opportunity to still finish on top.

"Can we win the title? I think we can. I believe we can. I'm realistic to understand where we are and the situation, but as games tick by, if we keep winning then we give ourselves a chance."

Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer was forthright in his views on the issue of rising ticket prices at Anfield during Saturday's programme.

"The club say that some tickets are cheaper next season but I do not think that any fan in the country - at all - should be asked to pay more for tickets next season," said the former Newcastle and England striker.

"With the TV deal that starts next season, if anything fans should be rewarded for their loyalty.

"They should be getting them for £10 or £20 - fill the stadium. Why not?"
