    Crystal Palace 0-1 Watford

It's been all Palace since Watford's goal and the noise levels have gone up to 11 - which we all know is one louder - but Pape Souare's long-range effort is the latest to frustrate the home fans, going straight at a yellow shirt and then away to safety.

Troy Deeney sends Wayne Hennessey the wrong way, sliding the ball into the bottom left hand corner.

Mile Jedinak is still contesting the decision, but it looked like he had both arms around Deeney. Referee Robert Madley had no hesitation.

Brave stuff from Watford's Nathan Ake, who throws his head in towards a Palace boot with no regard for his own safety. At the other end, Yohan Cabaye tries an ambitious shot from 30 yards but he hooks it high and wide with the kind of up-and-under you'd see in rugby.

There's been no goalmouth action as yet at Selhurst Park, no pattern either but there's time for an improvement.

That's nearly more like it for Emmanuel Adebayor, he's flagged for offside when trying to latch on to a ball over the top from deep but that's a possible out ball for the hosts today, especially as he skilfully brought it down without knowing he was offside.

    Crystal Palace v Watford

Watford enjoy a spell of pressure for the first time without threatening Wayne Hennessey. Palace in response try to bring Emmanuel Adebayor into the game, but it's not happened yet for the much-travelled striker.

Referee Robert Madley leads the teams out to the strains of the Dave Clark Five's peerless  "Glad all over". Troy Deeney is Watford's skipper, while "the pride of south London" (as the PA man says) are fronted by the impressively bearded Mile Jedinak.

  15. 'Chance to get back on track'published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

Crystal Palace v Watford (15:00 GMT)

    Steve Bower
    Match of the Day commentator

"This fixture is a real opportunity for one of these clubs to get back on track. Between them they have only managed one win in the last eight games.

"When Alan Pardew said last week's point at Swansea felt like a win, it was an indication of how relieved he was to halt their slide. He'll now be hoping with home advantage they can get back to winning ways.

"Having faced Chelsea and Spurs in quick succession, Watford may relish this capital meeting a little more.

"Their defeat at White Hart Lane when Troy Deeney came off the bench was a reminder of how important their captain's influence is. He'll look to ensure his team are still above Palace in the table."
