Gabby Agbonlahor goes off holding his head, on comes Scott Sinclair - he's the sixth ex-Manchester City player who is now on the field.

Can you name the other five?

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

The disgruntled Aston Villa fans are a picture. Plenty of shouting, pointing and head shaking.

Striker Gabby Agbonlahor is down again. He won't be able to continue this time. It looks like he has taken a knock to the face sometime during this half.

  3. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Excellent play from James Milner to work a cross, which is cleverly flicked on by Philippe Coutinho. The ball is in the air towards Daniel Sturridge but it's a 50/50 ball and he's not going to get involved is he?

Mark Bunn rushes off his line to punch the ball clear.

Aston Villa midfielder Carles Gil seems a bit too lightweight for the Premier League. Every time he's had the ball today, a Liverpool player has shoudler barged him off it. Needs to bulk up a little, especially for next season, it'll be even tougher.

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Gabby Agbonlahor back on the field for Aston Villa, he looks OK to continue.

Liverpool had 62% possession in the first half and may well build on that in the second.

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor is down on his haunches and receiving treatment from the Villa physio. Not sure what the problem is. He looks in rather a lot of strife though. Cancel that table booked for dinner tonight?

Jamie Cash: Disgusting body language from AVFC players throughout the half. Was a hands on hips 45 minutes, teapots are more effective.

Jonathan Ridgway: Villa are that rubbish, I'm surprised we didn't concede during the half time team talk.

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde, arms folded, surveying the damage.

A bright start from the home side in the second half as Leandro Bacuna forces Simon Mignolet into a save. It was easy but the Belgian still made a hash of it, spilling it into the six-yard box, but with no Villa striker gambling, he is able to pounce on it.

I'd be very nervous as a defender playing in front of him.

Back under way. How many more will Liverpool score or can Villa get a draw?

Kevin Samuelson: All the English talent on show this weekend, yet Roy will insist on Rooney's selection at the Euros, how sad!

Jay: Says a lot about the state of affairs of domestic football when fans get excited by 5 English players scoring on the same day

Muscab Ali: The Englishmen are on fire. Don't want to be Roy Hodgson with Dele Alli, Sturridge, Welbeck, Walcott, Vardy, Kane, Milner even Deeney.

  11. 'Liverpool coasting'published at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2016

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

    Pat Murphy
BBC Radio 5 live at Villa Park

"It is only one team in this. Liverpool are absolutely coasting, they could drop down to third gear and still win this. Villa have had nothing at the other end and were booed off."

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Villa have touched the ball just twice in the Liverpool area, compared to the Reds getting 13 touches in the opposition box. They look like scoring every time they head up field.

Craig Morris: Liverpool fans thought they were being ripped off, Villa fans have to pay to watch this!

Jaleel Oladipo: Credit to the fans still showing up & watching matches such as this & the "players" for lack of better words at the Villa Park.

Plenty of boos as referee Neil Swarbrick blows his whistle.

Training ground stuff for the Reds, who take a comfortable and deserved lead at the interval.

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde is going to have to give the team-talk of his life if he wants his side to turn this game around.

  15. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Two minutes added on in the first half, Liverpool should have had at least four or five goals so far.

  16. CLOSE!published at 44 mins

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool almost in - again. Philippe Coutinho is the architect with the reverse pass into the path of James Milner.

The English midfielder is in the area and cuts the ball back to Daniel Sturridge. Sniffing a second, he curls one towards the top corner, but it's at a nice height for Mark Bunn to push away.

Boys v men stuff this half.

  17. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

If Daniel Sturridge could have picked a game to come back into in order to ease his way back into the side, he couldn't have selected a much better one than this.

The Englishman is having the freedom of Birmingham and all the tricks are coming out. A Ronaldinho-esque no-look pass will be shown on the highlights reel tonight.

First real spell of possession for Aston Villa, it's taken them long enough but peters out into nothing.

The ball is neatly worked to the right wing, but Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet can throw his cap on Leandro Bacuna's low cross.

Even the Belgian can't mess that one up, he's had very little to do today.

  19. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa are so slack, you can see why they are struggling. Centre-back Jores Okore has a simple pass to play, but gives it straight to Roberto Firmino on the edge of the box, but the Brazilian can't find team-mate Daniel Sturridge with his arced lay-off. A let off for the home side.

William Broom: Although it's against bottom of the league Aston Villa, you can't help getting excited by a fit Sturridge.

HurriKane: Sturridge will never be England's best striker because he cannot stay fit, why do people act like that isn't important!
