    Mark Schwarzer

"I would not be surprised if Dele Alli comes on at half-time. Nacer Chadli has been ineffective and made the mistake leading up to the goal for West Ham."

  6. Desperate Spurs on the rackpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    West Ham 1-0 Spurs

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Boleyn Ground

"If Mauricio Pochettino has brought his hairdryer with him, it will be out in that Spurs dressing room at half-time.

"They have looked nothing like a team who could go top with a win here at West Ham tonight - and in fact might be happy to be only one down.

"There are still chances for them to get back in the game but they have to improve on a dismal first 45 minutes while West Ham have been everything Spurs have not, vibrant, confident and inventive."

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34

Only one team in this. Spurs need to considerably up their game if they are to end the day at the top of the table.

  8. Postpublished at 45 mins

    West Ham 1-0 Spurs

Michail Antonio has the ball in the back of the Spurs net...but he's well offside. Spurs are not playing like a side that has won their previous six league games and can't wait for half-time. This has been a disappointing half as far as they are concerned.

    West Ham 1-0 Spurs

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester City keeper Mark Schwarzer at Upton Park: "It’s all West Ham. Tottenham are struggling to get hold of the ball. Of the two playmakers: Payet and Eriksen, it’s all going through Payet.

“If West Ham can continue to keep Eriksen quiet then that’s half of the job done.”

    West Ham 1-0 Spurs

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Boleyn Ground

"Spurs showing one or two signs of life but promise has been snuffed out by some heavy touches and misplaced passes in good positions.

"Dimitri Payet is the darling of The Boleyn Ground and there is a real sense of excitement every time he gets on the ball. West Ham carry such a threat among their attacking players and the home crowd are only too keen to get in on the act."

There's another mis-placed pass from his side. Poch jumps from his seat and marches to the edge of his technical area looking angry.

Spurs have looked nothing like a team challenging for the title. They are losing possession far too easily and playing second fiddle to a West Ham side that is full of zip and energy.
