  1. No Zyro, no party?published at 29 mins

    QPR 1-0 Wolves

    Michal ZyroImage source, Rex Features

The Poland international, who has made a fine start to his career at Molineux since joining from Legia Warsaw, is unavailable for Wolves today because of a calf injury.

Wanderers have missed Zyro's aerial presence thus far, although Dave Edwards sends a near-post header on target from a set-piece.

  2. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 27 mins

Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards handles the ball on the edge of his own box and QPR winger Matt Phillips, always willing to try his luck from long-range, drills the resulting free-kick wide of the post.

    Quote Message

I've played against Adam Le Fondre on many occasions; he's not going to be holding the ball up, he's the fox in the box. You have to look at his stature against Onouha and Hall, they're winning every header. It's too simple for the Rangers centre-halves.

  4. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 23 mins

Two crosses into the QPR box, two crosses easily cleared by the home side.

A friendly handshake between the two managers before kick-off, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's beaming smile will remain - as long as his side stay in front.

Kenny Jackett's Wolves have had more possession but have yet to test Alex Smithies in the QPR goal.

  6. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 19 mins

Wolves are coming more into the game now but their lack of numbers in attack is in evidence again, as James Henry puts in a far-post cross from the left touchline but there's nobody in a gold shirt within 10 yards of it.

  7. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 15 mins

Rajiv van La Parra creates Wolves' best moment of the match with a galloping run down the right wing. The Dutchman gets to the byline and puts in an excellent low cross, which Nedum Onuoha clears to safety.

  8. QPR at the double?published at 13 mins

    QPR 1-0 Wolves

QPR are hoping to complete a league double over Wolves today.

Rangers won the reverse fixture 3-2 in August, having trailed 2-0 in the first half at Molineux, with Matt Phillips scoring the winner.

It's started well for them at Loftus Road, with Sebastian Polter's header giving them a second-minute lead.

  9. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 9 mins

Wolves look all over the place in the early stages. Adam Le Fondre has looked a very isolated figure up front for the visitors so far, while they've had very little possession to speak of.

There's a sniff of a counter-attack but Conor Coady's pass to Le Fondre is overhit, straight through to QPR goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

Jurgen Klopp is nothing if not entertaining, and for many has been a welcome addition to English football.

  11. QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 4 mins

Sebastian Polter is inches away from a second QPR goal inside four minutes. James Perch puts in a teasing cross and the big striker, blonde man bun and all, can't quite connect under pressure from Danny Batth.

    Who needs Charlie Austin?

Sebastian Polter earns a cheap free-kick from Wolves captain Danny Batth, trots into the penalty area and heads in a left-wing set-piece past Carl Ikeme.

    A dream start for QPR.

  15. Injury woe for Wolvespublished at 12:26

    QPR v Wolves (12:30 GMT)

As for Wolves, there's not yet been a direct replacement signed to replace Benik Afobe, and they've suffered two injury blows ahead of today's game at Loftus Road.

A fairly minor calf injury prevents recent signing Michal Zyro from featuring today, while Jordan Graham suffered a serious knee injury in last weekend's defeat by Cardiff and will be out for at least nine months.

It's bad news for the young winger, who has been in impressive form for Wolves in recent weeks.

QPR have moved quickly to replace Charlie Austin, signing Peterborough's Conor Washington for a reported £2.5m.

And yesterday they strengthened their goalkeeping department, adding Wycombe's Matt Ingram to their squad for an undisclosed fee.

    QPR v Wolves (12:30 GMT)

This season, both QPR and Wolves have followed very similar patterns.

Both were expected to challenge for a top-six finish in the Championship. Both haven't quite delivered as yet.

And in January, both clubs have waved goodbye to their star striker.
