Saido Berahino is the gift that keeps giving to transfer deadline day. The will-he-won't-he saga has kept the reporters hanging around training grounds on their toes on the last day of each of the past two transfer windows. Let's face it, they needed something after the possibility of local scallies waving objects in their faces was sensibly removed.
Anyway...the bottom line was that the England Under-21 striker stayed at The Hawthorns. Surely it is time for Berahino to knuckle down and/or Pulis let bygones be bygones?
Albion need goals and Berahino, described by Pulis as a gifted goalscorer, can provide them. He starts tonight.

Out of choice, none of the Albion camp want to spend their Wednesday night in Peterborough. They would much rather be heading to a West Midlands multiplex.
But the Posh earned an Albion sequel after twice fighting back to draw 2-2 at The Hawthorns.
Refresh your mind of the original tie here.

"Tonight's game matches the second-highest scorers in the Football League, with the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League.
"Peterborough boss Graham Westley has reiterated his mantra "the FA Cup rewards the brave" in his pre-match notes.
"And with defensive options short in supply tonight, having seen two players suspended at the weekend against Chesterfield, Posh boss may need to be just that with their attacks."

Peterborough fans fancy their chances. They have been snapping up tickets in their droves, with the 14,000-capacity London Road stadium expected to be packed close to the rafters.
"Oh, when the Posh go marching in...." Those already inside London Road are making themselves heard.
Albion fans are not so enthused. Only 1,700 hardy Baggies souls are travelling down for the tie. If Adrian Chiles and Frank Skinner aren't snapped laughing and joking in the away end at half-time then you know Albion fans aren't bothered.
Peterborough v West Brom (19:45 GMT)
Can you imagine Peterborough playing under the Wembley arch in a month or two? Sounds like an image that occupied Graham Westley's mind as drifted off in bed last night. But the Posh boss, so he tells us, doesn't do dreams...
"The fourth round of the FA Cup is nice, the fifth round is better. The sixth would be fantastic and to get to Wembley in a semi-final would be awesome," he says.
"We've got three games to win. There's a lot of work still to be done and some very difficult opponents between us and what we're aiming for.
"I don't think dreaming is something I'm into. I don't do pride, I don't do dreaming. You get what you deserve."

"Half and half scarves. A piece of memorabilia that brings anger to even the most mild-mannered of fans is slowly but surely making its presence felt English football.
"And you've guessed it, they are being sold outside tonight...
"With a Premier League team in town, you can almost understand, but I wonder what they will actually be used for after tonight? A tea cosy? A kitchen rag? Or even, revolutionarily, as a day-to-day scarf? Surely no-one does the latter."
Liverpool scrap £77 ticket plans
Some breaking news coming out of Liverpool tonight...
The Reds have scrapped their controversial £77 ticket and apologise for the "distress caused" to fans by last week's pricing announcement.
People power.

Tony Pulis strikes me as the kind of bloke who doesn't care what anyone thinks about him. Just as well.
If the Albion boss strolled into a West Bromwich boozer at the moment, the music coming out of the jukebox would mysteriously fade into the background and people would start staring at him while whispering behind their hands.
One win in nine games. Defensive tactics. A shot-shy attack. The Albion natives are restless - and they're letting Pulis know.
Peterborough v West Brom (19:45 GMT)
WBA manager Tony Pulis, speaking to BBC Sport: "It is tough but the players we are playing, most are experienced. I love the FA Cup, I love the competition and want to be in it and try and win the game.
"They will be right up for it tonight, we have to be right mentally and really have a go.
"We haven't scored enough goals. The players going out there tonight have to do their best."

Tony Pulis has been speaking to our reporters at London Road. And he is putting an positive slant on Albion's recent troubles.
"We only have one win in nine but we have only lost two in 10," the Baggies manager tells BBC Radio 5 live.
Next he'll be telling us that having a greasy fish supper every night is healthy because you've walked to the chippy.

"West Brom boss Tony Pulis was out very early to inspect the ABAX Stadium's pitch alongside coaches Dave Kemp and Gerry Francis.
"The trio were having a rather long chat out in the middle, possibly discussing how to improve a run of one win in eight away games.
"Or maybe about the quality of pies at the ABAX?"
