  1. 'Hammers fighting for Europe?'published at 10:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

Everton v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

    Alistair Mann
    MOTD commentator

"The final season at Upton Park was always likely to create strong emotions, with a sense that perhaps it could lead to a very special campaign.

"Two wins away from an FA Cup final, West Ham's excellent recent league form has now even propelled them into genuine Champions League contention.

"That said, the next two league games - away at Everton and Chelsea - will ably demonstrate how realistic their top-four challenge will be.

"Weekend hosts Everton were many experts' pre-season tip for a top-four challenge themselves but, unusually, it has been their poor home record that has let them down.

"Traditionally, West Ham have been Everton's favourite opponents; if the visitors can remain unscathed from this trip it will be a significant statement."

  2. 'Chelsea's priorities lie elsewhere'published at 10:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Chelsea v Stoke (15:00 GMT)

    John Roder
    Match of the Day commentator

"Both Chelsea and Stoke come into this match in good form, having won their last three top-flight matches, and with the Blues still unbeaten in the Premier League under Guus Hiddink.

"It is 32 years since the Potters last won a league match at Stamford Bridge but they will travel to the capital hoping to complete the double over Chelsea, having won the reverse fixture 1-0 in November.

"The home side's priorities now are the Champions League and FA Cup, with the second leg of their tie against Paris St-Germain up next."

  5. Cech outpublished at 10:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Tottenham v Arsenal (12:45 GMT)

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech will be out for three to four weeks with a calf injury, says manager Arsene Wenger. It never rains but pours eh?

The 33-year-old is likely to miss at least four league games, plus the Champions League trip to Barcelona and FA Cup replay against Hull.

He was injured when he ran back to his area after going up for a corner in Wednesday's 2-1 home defeat by Swansea.

Let this be a reminder to sort out your fantasy football teams too. Cech's out for Joe Hart for me, with Sergio Aguero my captain (Man City are playing Villa, see...)

    Respect the glasses....

Referee asked me to give him the ball as a foul had been committed by one of our players. I harmlessly picked it up and lightly threw it to him, unfortunately at the very same moment he turned his head away. After bouncing off his temple and breaking his new designer glasses, he decided to send me off for violent conduct.

  7. 'Spurs no longer in Arsenal's shadow'published at 10:16 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Tottenham v Arsenal (12:45 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
MOTD pundit & former Tottenham midfielder

If we did beat Arsenal, it was always seen as a shock but it is not the same anymore.

I think that is part of the reason Arsenal fans are so frustrated, because they do not feel they have moved on and they know Tottenham have. That is what worries them the most.

When I speak to Arsenal fans now - and I mean the proper football purists, not the ones who speak a little bit too much with their hearts rather than their heads - they will say there is no longer a big gap between the two teams.

Spurs are no longer living in Arsenal's shadow and I would put that down to a mentality shift at both clubs over the past decade.
