What about the future of Everton boss Roberto Martinez? Currently 12th in the table in no man's land. 13 points of a Champions League place and 13 points clear of the relegation zone.

If they don't win the FA Cup this season, there will be serious question marks over his job security, particularly with a new owner in at Goodison Park.

Arsenal have won their last 27 Premier League games when two or more goals up at half time, doesn't bode well.

Northampton Town are chasing a 15th game unbeaten as they visit third-bottom Stevenage this afternoon. The leaders hold an 11-point advantage over second-placed Oxford, who travel to mid-table Barnet. York, who are second from bottom and seven points from safety, are at play-off chasing Wimbledon, and bottom side Dagenham & Redbridge host fifth-placed Accrington.

    Alex Iwobi (41 mins)

A first Arsenal goal for the youngster.

What a week for Alex Iwobi. He started his first Champions League match on Wednesday and follows up with this effort against Everton three days later.

Hector Bellerin plays a beautiful ball up-field but where was the defence? More holes than a sieve.

Iwobi takes the ball on and slides a composed finished between the legs of Joel Robles to double Arsenal's lead.

"Arsenal's tactics mean their front four are very adaptable. Alex Iwobi, for example, started on the left but is frequently coming inside. That gives Mesut Ozil all sorts of room.

"And that's really confusing the Everton defenders, who are just giving away possession and not closing down quick enough.

"Everton are fast asleep, the midfield really isn't working, and the home fans will be very disgruntled if this carries on for the next 15 minutes."

Leaders Burton Albion will aim to extend their unbeaten run to six games as they make the short trip to Port Vale, and could improve on their six-point advantage at the top as second-placed Wigan host sixth-placed Bradford.

But third-placed Walsall might fancy their chances of overtaking the Latics as they host bottom-of-the-table Colchester. John Sheridan’s Oldham can leave the drop zone if they win their local derby against Rochdale and beat Doncaster’s result against Peterborough.

"Danny Welbeck has looked really, really dangerous, right from the start. The ball was slipped through to him, past a very square-looking Everton defence. The keeper could do nothing about it and really had to get out of the way of a striker. And a cool finish.

"I don't think I've seen a game start like this in the Premier League this season. It could quite easily be 2-2 already.

"The Everton defence is far too open - they are being cut to shreds."

Former Leicester City winger Steve Guppy on Football Focus: "I think I have been in denial for the last few months, thinking the Champions League would be good enough for Leicester. But I'm now a believer in terms of the title.

"Recent Foxes games have been tight but I think in each fixture they outworked their opponents, and of course 1-0s win leagues.

"The impact on Leicester as a city has been amazing. I recently moved back here and the success of the football team has given the place a real buzz. Everyone's talking about this, even if you don't like football.

"Riyad Mahrez has been a breath of fresh air, a player willing to pick up the ball and take players on. In England our wingers tend to be give-and-go merchants. Mahrez takes players on. He's a true Leicester player - really exciting to watch."

  19. No title? Wenger Out!published at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2016

    Everton 0-0 Arsenal

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Football Focus

"If there was ever a time Arsenal were going to win the league, it was this year. It's been a freak of a season in respect that Arsenal find themselves behind Leicester and Spurs.

"If they don't win the league this season then it's not going to get easier next season because Manchester City are going to improve, Manchester United are going to improve, Chelsea are going to improve so I can see the point that if it's not this season then when is it?

"Qualifying for the top four is not good enough for a club the size of Arsenal and to be 11 points behind Leicester at this point of the season is, in my opinion, unacceptable. So a change in the dugout? If they don't improve - which I don't think they will - they don't win the league this season, there should be a change in the dugout."

"But what can Roberto Martinez do? He just has to shrug his shoulders and get on with things."
