A few people still questioning Mauricio Pochettino's decision to shuffle the pack. Here is what he had to say before kick off. “We have a lot of games ahead and we always try to pick the team to keep them fresh and try to win the game.”

John Dunthorne: If Spurs get embarrassed tonight (which they may), I am not sure how you can think that will help their chances in the Premier League.

Another bright Tottenham attack, this time led by the 18-year-old Joshua Onomah as his cross is put behind for a corner. Tom Carroll takes it, but Dortmund head away.

    Good start by Spurs.

This will please a few nervy Spurs fans as Tottenham embark on an immediate attack that ends with Christian Eriksen having a go at goal from just outside the area. It's well hit, but straight at Roman Weidenfeller.

"I'm surprised by the strength of this Spurs side - the physicality of it. This will be the most difficult test Spurs have faced this season and the team looks a bit lightweight. Mauricio Pochettino's selection is an indication that the priority is the Premier League."

What an atmosphere at Dortmund, yellow flags in the stands waving as the two teams walk out onto the pitch. Coping with that vocal home support will be crucial for the much-changed Spurs side.

Should Tottenham be putting domestic success ahead of Europe? Or going for it in every competition?

Kaushik Gorai: What's the problem? Spurs are in good position for top four spot and can even have a crack at title. Why not focus there instead?

alcallaghan: Poch recognising that it was the likes of Onomah and Carroll that have got us this far. Keeping faith and giving them their chance?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is undoubtedly the man Tottenham have to watch tonight, with the striker having bagged 22 goals in 24 games.

He might have been lining up for Spurs if the London club had been a bit less "weird".

They were keen on buying him four years ago when he was at Saint-Etienne, but the move never materialised.

“In the end everything became a bit weird," said Aubameyang. "I didn’t really like the way things were done. If Spurs ever came back in me for me, I’d say no.”

Vatch, Barningham, Suffolk: We are lacking a bit of muscle in midfield. Mason and Carroll will run all night, but let's see if speed and agility can outgun strength. Come on Poch, give us something to play for back at the lane next Thursday.

You wouldn't catch Jurgen Klopp painting walls [see 5.05pm entry] when the Europa League is on. He loves it.

He's also gone big on his description of tonight's game between Liverpool and Manchester United, describing it as "the mother of all football games".

"I always said the Europa League is very exciting," he said. "It's really, really big. I hope it's not the biggest match in my Liverpool career but it's very important."

Chris: How is it Dortmund play their best team and Spurs don't? Why? Spurs could win this competition, bad management.

Bob: Sensible line-up for Spurs. As big a challenge as this game is, a top-four finish in the league has got to be our top priority.

If ever there was a sign that Mauricio Pochettino has faith in his young players, it is tonight. Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll have the task of keeping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quiet. A big ask, but a big chance for them to step up.
