  1. Dortmund taking it 'seriously'published at 20:01

Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund (agg 0-3)

The chances of Dortmund taking their eye off the ball? Slim. As long as the players follow the instructions of coach Thomas Tuchel that is.

He insists his side, who are currently second in the Bundesliga, will not be glancing towards the weekend as they try to trim Bayern Munich's five-point lead.

"There are no priorities," Tuchel said. "Perhaps the Europa League is a once in a lifetime chance to go a long way because our goal is to play Champions League year after year.

"I'm very happy we showed an extraordinary performance and we have to show this again. We have to have our top focus and take it very seriously."

Spurs are flying in the Premier League as they chase Leicester to be crowned The Unlikeliest English Champions Since Blackburn.

However, they need to forget about last week's trip to Dortmund and move on.

"We need to show that last week was an accident and we need to try to play much better," boss Mauricio Pochettino.

“This is the feeling that we need to put out – I think that we were not good enough last week, we didn’t play well.

And there is some good news...

    The late games

It isn’t all about Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool from 20:05 GMT though.

Holders Sevilla are closing in on history in their bid to become the first team to make it to the Europa League last eight on three consecutive seasons.

Can they do it? The Spaniards drew 0-0 in the first leg against Basel, but their home form – where they’ve won their last 16 matches in all competitions at the Sanchez Pizjuan - should see them through.

Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk go to Belgium's Anderlecht with a 3-1 advantage, while Portugal's Braga have to turn around a 1-0 deficit when they host Turkish visitors Fenerbahce.

Many of the continent's top players are already sweating away, trying to reach the Europa League quarter-finals.

But Gary Neville’s Valencia find themselves in a spot of bother. Facing the tough task of overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit against Athletic Bilbao, it was all smooth sailing as they led 2-0. However, La Liga rivals Athletic have just scored - and that means, with a few minutes left, they are going through on away goals.

Elsewhere, Villarreal took a 2-0 first-leg lead to Bayer Leverkusen and are coasting through with the second leg still goalless. Italian side Lazio need a miracle - they are 4-1 down on aggregate against Sparta Prague after conceding three first-half goals against the Czechs.

Jon L: There is strength and depth all through the spurs squad except another striker. Not surprised Kane is not being risked from the start and maybe he is looking for his no2 striker if anything was to happen. COYS!

  14. To rotate or not to rotate?published at 19:26

Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund (agg 0-3)

Should Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino have named an under-strength side in the first leg? Should Poch have started Harry Kane on the bench tonight? Time will tell.

If Spurs go on to be crowned English champions for the first time since 1961 then the answer to both questions will undoubtedly be 'yes'.

But the Argentine admits he has not always got reshuffling his squad right this season.

"Sometimes we rotate, sometimes maybe I made a mistake," he said. "We analyse our decisions a lot. We can always do better and for that we are open to learn."

Dortmund restore some of the big names that they left on the bench for Saturday's 2-0 win against Mainz.

Keeper Roman Weidenfeller, right-back Lukasz Piszczek and centre-back Neven Subotic all return.

Dortmund XI: Weidenfeller, Piszczek, Sokratis, Subotic, Ginter, Weigl, Reus, Castro, Schmelzer, Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan.

  20. Kane able to play?published at 19:12

Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund (agg 0-3)

Thoughts on Harry Kane starting on the bench, Spurs fans? Not surprising seeing as he hasn't started the past four Europa League matches. But you need goals! And otherwise it is an almost full-strength side (Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen are injured and the full-backs are changed every week anyway). Seems strange to me.
