Here is what a couple of pros think...

Blackburn boss Paul Lambert on BBC Radio 5 live: "I can understand the argument that the lesser teams need it for finances. But if you are a team in the Europa League you have to play 17 games to win it, that's like another half-season. Our game on Sunday against West Ham, we have to get it finished, I don't want a replay."

Former West Ham and Stoke winger Matthew Etherington on Radio 5 live: "I think most players probably would like to lose replays. But look at Exeter, they got a replay at Anfield, so it's a tough one. The lower leagues depend on the FA Cup revenue if they are lucky enough to earn a replay."

  2. 'Hull are a good side'published at 10:46 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2016

    Arsenal v Hull (12:45 GMT)

Blackburn boss Paul Lambert on BBC Radio 5 live: "Hull have kept most of their players that were in the Premier League and you could see it when we played them last week [a 2-0 win for Hull]. They looked like they could go another gear. They've got Robert Snodgrass, Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone in midfield; they are a good side."

This match is a repeat of the sensational 2014 cup final, in which Arsenal triumphed in extra time.

The Gunners went 2-0 down inside the opening eight minutes, but managed to claw their way back into the contest and won it through Aaron Ramsey's strike.

In fact, this is the third straight season the two sides have met in the FA Cup after last season's third-round tie.

The Tigers will be sick at the sight of Arsenal if they lose today.

How do you feel about this one?

Scrapping FA Cup replays and playing midweek rounds are among a range of measures being considered to trim the fixture list in English football.

With two domestic cups added to an intense Premier League, top-flight clubs fear a congested calendar damages their chances in European competitions.

The Football Association also has concerns the season leaves the national team tired for summer tournaments.

Giggs v Arsenal may never have been and we wouldn't have heard of Ronnie Radford but for FA Cup replays.
