  1. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Aston Villa 0-2 Chelsea

Kenedy is off for Chelsea and replaced by fellow Brazilian Oscar. We are under way again.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Aston Villa 0-2 Chelsea

So Villa are on course for a 10th home defeat of the season, which would match their Premier League record set in 2013-14. Something to chew on over a Bovril, I suppose.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are set for a 15th match unbeaten. The best current record in the Premier League.

So Alexandre Pato sticks up two fingers to those who mocked him by setting up a clock counting down to his debut.

  4. 'Aston Villa just not good enough'published at 13:36 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Aston Villa 0-2 Chelsea

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss at Villa Park for 5 live Sport

"Aston Villa lack concentration at the back, power in midfield and guile in attack.

"Rudy Gestede is a good header of the ball and provides a good focal point in attack, but overall they just lack quality."

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Aston Villa 0-2 Chelsea

So Ruben Loftus-Cheek scores his first Premier League goal, and Pato is off the mark after making a belated debut. Maybe he should have featured even earlier this season?

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss at Villa Park for 5 live Sport

"Had Chelsea scored a second there as Ruben Loftus-Cheek went close then the second half would have been less than interesting.

"I think that Villa caretaker Eric Black will be pleased with his team's effort - if not the way that they conceded the only goal of the game so far."

  11. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has his head in his hands as he knows he could have grabbed a second. The Chelsea midfielder does well to win the ball on the edge of the area from Carlos Sanchez's wayward pass, but his curled effort is just wide of the far post.

Carles Gil has collapsed in a heap after Baba Rahman puts a hand in the Villa midfielder's face. Let's just say that on second look, the action didn't match the reaction.

"That all started with Alan Hutton winning the ball back in his own half - that really buoyed the home fans. Jordan Ayew did everything right with some neat feet in the penalty box, it was just the finish that was lacking."

Jordan Ayew is on the end of another chance, he's dragging Villa forward almost single-handedly. This time, he squirms his way into the box, holds off Branislav Ivanovic and pokes a shot past the far post. The Chelsea defender did just enough to put Ayew off balance.

Brad Guzan is busy again as Cesc Fabregas floats a free-kick into the back post. Chelsea debutant Matt Miazga meets it but Guzan stretches to his left to stop the cross. Good keeping as the two Americans go head to head.

  17. GOOD SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

Chance for Chelsea as Cesc Fabregas, who seems to be everywhere, puts in Baba Rahman down the left. The Chelsea left-back has a shot from a tight angle which Brad Guzan saves well at the near post.

Nice move involving Villa's Carles Gil, who does show his quality every now and then. Ashley Westwood's through ball to Rudy Gestede is a bit wide and the Villa striker has a nice tussle with Chelsea defender Matt Miazga, who comes out on top.
