  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 46 mins

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

City start the second half where they left off before the break. Sergio Aguero's clipped pass sets up another sweetly-struck Kevin de Bruyne volley, but this time Artur Boruc palms it away.

A change for Bournemouth before they start the second half. Marc Pugh is on for Joshua King.

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "Should any Bournemouth fan be hoping for an unlikely second-half comeback, they can turn to page 21 of today's match programme which recalls the game at Maine Road in April 1989 when Manchester City, on the brink of promotion to the top flight, took a 3-0 lead by the interval - and invited comedian Eddie Large into the dressing-room for a light-hearted half-time team talk.

"What happened next? Bournemouth got it back to 3-3 with Luther Blissett equalising from the penalty spot in the sixth minute of stoppage time."

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

City scored three goals in the first 18 minutes and are completely in charge at the interval. A lot of work to do for Bournemouth to turn this one around.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

Jesus Navas has seen an awful lot of the ball in this first half and has also been given an awful lot of space. This time he cuts in rather than trying to get to the bye-line to cross, but his pass does not quite reach David Silva.

There is just one added minute at the end of the first half, and we have already played most of it.

Kevin De Bruyne is also enjoying himself today for City, and showing their fans what they have been missing in the last few weeks. The Belgian is almost in on goal again here, running on to a Sergio Aguero flick and battling with a defender before realising the flag is up for offside.

Hang on a minute, because Simon Francis has just tackled Sergio Aguero twice in as many minutes. He sets up a Cherries attack, too, but Matt Ritchie's shot is blocked on the edge of the area.

My attempt to find some reasons to be optimistic for Bournemouth fans lasted as long as it took Sergio Aguero to get back on the ball. Again, the home defenders cannot get near him, but he fires wide after a winding run.

As long as Bournemouth keep the ball away from Aguero, they will be fine. They are doing much better at the other end, by the way, with Lewis Grabban heading two crosses over the bar. If the next one goes in, they just might find a way back into this game - there are still 10 minutes of the first half left for starters.

City are still looking dangerous, mind, mainly because Bournemouth's defence seem unable to get near to Sergio Aguero.

Aguero is involved again here as the visitors work the ball forward but they do not have a goal to show for it on this occasion because David Silva went for the spectacular with a far-post volley, but could only find the back of the stand.

Scratch what I just said because Willy Caballero finally has a shot to save here, half-an-hour in.

Bournemouth force their first corner, swiftly followed by their first effort on target - Steve Cook's flicked header, which was pushed away at full stretch by the City goalkeeper.

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

Bournemouth have not seriously threatened since that Joshua King shot, five minutes in, when the score was 0-0.

It remains their only effort at goal and they have had just 35% of possession so far.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 26 mins

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

City are still playing like a team that is 3-0 up - they are trying everything, and most of it is coming off. This time Fernandinho has a pop from outside the area, and sees his shot cannon back off the bar.

  14. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "This has been an impressive display of attacking football from City, but their work off the ball has been just as important - not allowing Bournemouth to settle when they have had possession, curbing the hosts' passing game. And it's forced a formation change to 4-5-1 from the Cherries - Joshua King has retreated to the right wing, with Matt Ritchie moving inside as part of a central midfield trio."

    Bournemouth 0-3 Man City

City are enjoying themselves now, spraying a succession of first-time passes about and forcing another corner, which Max Gradel volleys clear.

A reminder that City had only managed a total of seven goals (and 11 points) in their previous 11 away league games. They look a completely different team today.

You can see where City are making their inroads - down the inside right channel. Jesus Navas has often been joined by David Silva in that area, to devastating effect.

That big splodge showing City's touches outside the Cherries area is the same place Charlie Daniels gave the ball away for the second goal too.

GOAL - Bournemouth 0-3 Man Citypublished at 19 mins

    Sergio Aguero (19 mins)

    Sergio AgueroImage source, AFP

Every time City come forward they look like scoring and this time Sergio Aguero does get in on the action.

Jesus Navas races to the bye-line and lifts over a cross from the right and the Argentine striker leaps above two defenders to guide his header into the corner of the net. Steve Cook is on the goal-line, but he cannot keep it out.

This is turning into a rout...

    Bournemouth 0-2 Man City

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "The second goal is greeted by a chorus of 'We're going to win the league' from the City faithful - there's optimism for you. Bournemouth are pinned back in their own half at the moment - with home fans' thoughts perhaps recalling their back-to-back 5-1 thrashings at the hands of City and Tottenham in October."

  19. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Bournemouth 0-2 Man City

Another City attack, with Kevin de Bruyne flashing his shot over after a neat build-up down the left. Bournemouth were 4-1 down at the break when they lost 5-1 at Etihad Stadium in October - and they look in real danger of another heavy defeat here...

  20. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Bournemouth 0-2 Man City

Here come Manchester City again. Sergio Aguero wants some of the action and lets fly from about 25 yards out... but his shot soars a long way over Artur Boruc's bar.
