We asked you is Gary Neville out of his depth? Or would even the most hardened of coaches struggled at Valencia this season? Plus how do you see Italy's whopper of a game panning out?

John McEnerney: Yes to both questions. Bit off way more than he can chew. Any half decent coach would struggle, no quality players, no desire.

Toniwater: Gonzalo Higuain to end ‘The Old Lady's’ run, he's some player him. He's top of a lot of managers shopping lists. Perfect for any league.

Max Baggins-Craig: Gary's got to stand up for himself and not care about anyone else, got to be strong, though the views seem wrong, Sky isn't the limit.

Worth noting that there are no away fans inside the Juventus Stadium tonight because of security fears. Napoli's players must feel like Pele and John Wark in Escape to Victory.

But the visitors are doing their best to quieten the home supporters, enjoying plenty of possession in these opening minutes.

Senegal left-back Kalidou Koulibaly bursts into the Juve box, but can't find a team-mate with his backheel flick from near the byline.

    Valencia 0-0 Espanyol

Espanyol look like they've weathered the early pressure from Valencia as we reach the half-way point of the opening half.

Neville's side hasn't scored in their last three league games and that must be the concern again.

    Juventus 0-0 Napoli

Jeers from the home fans as Napoli go straight on the attack. Lorenzo Insigne stretches his shorts legs down the left flank, forcing Juve centre-half Leonardo Bonucci to steam across and punt the ball out for a corner. Danger averted as the home defence clears the set-piece.

    Here we go then...

Let's see if Italy's biggest game of the season lives up to the hype.

He's not as svelt as he used to be, but Maradona has dug out his old Napoli shirt and is wearing it proudly as he settles down on the sofa for the big match. Hope he's got a pack of tortilla chips and a few cans of ice-cold lager for the occasion.

    Valencia 0-0 Espanyol

The first booking of the night as Espanyol defender Alvaro goes into the book for a foul on Denis Cheryshev but Parejo puts the free-kick too high this time.

Meanwhile, Espanyol have lost the services of Mamadou Sylla with a hamstring injury.

Now, I'm not saying for one minute that Gonzalo Higuain is anywhere near as good as Diego Maradona. But the Napoli striker, like his compatriot did 26 years, is the major reason why the Partenopei are scrapping for the Scudetto.

24 games. 24 goals. Not a bad record eh? No wonder Higuain is having the self-confessed best season of his career.

"It would be magnificent if I could emulate Maradona and bring the title to this city. I know that, for the people of Naples, he was more than just a football talent," said Higuain.

"For me, just getting close to what he achieved at Napoli fills me with pride."

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

    Valencia 0-0 Espanyol

Neville is forced into an early change as defender Aymen Abdennour comes off injured with Ruben Vezo coming on.

It's all happening as a free-kick from Valencia's Parejo is well saved and Paco Alcacer steers another chance wide of the near post as Neville's side pushes for an early goal. Positive stuff.

Napoli have not won the Scudetto since 1990. A year when they were led by a talismanic Argentine. A year when New Order topped the charts. A year when cool British teenagers all had floppy hair and baggy jeans.

Rather like 2016. An omen perhaps?

"Everything depends on us, we have to keep calm and keep our feet on the ground," says Gonzalo Higuain, Napoli's current Argentine hero.

"My intention is to keep on scoring. For me, obviously, but above all to help the club as we keep fighting for this important objective."

Paul Pogba looks pretty relaxed as he sits shirtless in the Juve dressing room. A little rub on the chest from the masseur doesn't seem to have many physical benefits. Maybe it's a good luck ritual. The players are about to hear the buzzer from the referee's room.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

    Valencia 0-0 Espanyol

Espanyol should be in front. Diego Alves hasn't played this season for Valencia following a serious knee injury but justifies his re-call with a stunning close-range stop from Felipe Caicedo before the rebound is headed wide.

Germany midfielder Sami Khedira was ruled out for three weeks with a thigh injury. That was 10 days or so ago. Guess what? He's back. Gamesmanship from the Old Lady?

Things are rocking and rolling over in Italy about 15 minutes behind the big game in Spain.

Juventus have won 14 matches in a row, Napoli have eight on the bounce.

Juve will climb above their visitors with a win, Napoli will move five clear if they nab victory.

I'm giddier than a kid on Christmas morning....

It's a bright start from Valencia and for a moment they think they have a penalty for handball but the referee rightly says defender Alvaro Gonzalez wore that cross right in the face.

    Valencia 0-0 Espanyol

We're under way at the Mestalla in Gary Neville's big night.

Both teams have made six changes from their last league games as Espanyol kick off.

    Valencia v Espanyol (19:30 GMT)

Anyone wandering around Valencia on Wednesday evening would barely have realised that a football game was taking place in the Spanish city that night.

Only 10,000 fans showed up to watch Valencia's 1-1 draw against Copa dey Rey opponents Barcelona (not surprising seeing as they had been battered 7-0 in the first leg...)

But Gary Neville wants the home crowd to roar his team to victory tonight.

"I am grateful to the fans who came out to support us," added Neville. "Those who didn't want to come are within their rights.

"Mestalla will be full and the atmosphere will be electric. We need the fans more than ever."

Los Che fans have taken notice - the Mestalla is banging...

Valencia's cavernous Mestalla stadium, with those steep, imposing concrete stands, is filling up nicely. Plenty of noise and scarf-waving from the Ultras as the two sides stroll out of the tunnel. No sign of G Nev yet. Perhaps he's gulping down some nerve-calming medicine...
