County chairman Roy MacGregor on BBC Radio Scotland

"We are proud that Inverness won the Scottish Cup last season. Wouldn't it be great if we could follow that and have both domestic cups in the Highlands?

"Even after 22 years in the senior set-up, I feel the Highland clubs don't get the respect they are due. We've always had to fight for everything we get, it's always been like that in the region."

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre on BBC Radio Scotland

"It's a hugely significant piece of business. Liam Boyce is a huge player for us. He enjoys the set-up here and it's good for him to earn that contract extension.

"When you've scored 17 goals in 24 games you're going to have suitors so it was important to get him signed up."

"He's not quite 100% after his hand injury but he's not far off."
