  • Real trail Barcelona by nine points

  • Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

  • Leverkusen v Dortmund temporarily suspended after referee row

  1. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Marcelo is starting to get more space and is enjoying switching it to Dani Carvajal on the right rather than feeding Cristiano Ronaldo on the left flank. Carvajal wins a free-kick.

    Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

They're under way again in the BayArena.

Hopefully things will liven up a bit. Reus is on for Dortmund so they might.

Leverkusen have also made a couple of changes, both defensively though.

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

I'm not sure if the trip to Roma in the Champions League in midweek has been a cause but Real are not exactly giving hope that they can close the gap on Barcelona. Cristiano Ronaldo looks for the ball on the right, runs back to the left and believes he has been elbowed by Raul Albentosa. Replays show there wasn't much in the off-the-ball incident, but Real's top scorer is not happy.

  4. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has not really been involved so far, and when he drops deep and inside he loses the ball fairly quickly. He is symptomatic of Real today: not really at the races.

The goalkeepers are on top. The ball is bobbling around the Real box, it falls to Ignacio Camacho, who draws a decent stop from Keylor Navas. He's keeping Real in this.

Once more we have a great opportunity to open the scoring and it's Real who make a dog's dinner of it this time. Marcelo does really well to cut in from the left, tees up Jese, but like Ricardo Horta, takes an extra touch, and the keeper is out to save his shot.

Moments later Marcelo goes into the book. Zinedine Zidane looking concerned.

  8. CLOSE!published at 21 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Another golden chance for Malaga. This time they win the ball in midfield, Juanpi squares it along the edge of the 18-yard box to Ricardo Horta, who takes a touch and sticks it into the side netting. More terrible finishing.

  9. CLOSE!published at 19 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Best chance of the game. More shocking defending from Real as Toni Kroos, this time, fluffs a back pass, Juanpi is onto it but Keylor Navas is out to block the shot, which was, quite frankly, awful. Real look terrible at the back and Malaga won't get a better chance than that.

  10. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Dani Carvajal, who is seeing plenty of the ball so far, now delivers a choice diagonal ball to Isco, who takes it down on the edge of the box and fires over.

  11. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Real gather themselves with some good possession, and Dani Carvajal finds Jese with a decent through ball but the Malaga keeper Carlos Kemeni is quickly out to block his shot. Better from Real.

  12. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

From the goal-kick Keylor Navas makes a right hash of it, kicking it straight to Charles. He bears down on goal before Navas atones for his error by rushing out to put the Malaga forward off. Sergio Ramos then completes another suspect backpass. It's not looking too solid at the back for Real. Zinedine Zidane is giving his defence a stern look.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Nothing to see here. Forty five minutes gone and only one real chance.

Leverkusen haven't conceded a goal in their last three home league games and there's been little to suggest that run will end.

Borussia had one sight of goal in stoppage time but top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was so surprised he fluffed it.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been pretty quiet so far stationed on the Real left. He gets an early touch but Jese cannot hold onto it. Shortly afterwards Duje Cop shoots wildly over for Malaga.

  15. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Marcelo gets a bit of rough treatment from Charles as the Real full-back wins a free-kick near the halfway line. He's just coming back from a shoulder injury so maybe Malaga are targeting him?

  16. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Jese is now fed down the right but Miguel Torres, already on a yellow card, gets back to block the cross. The Malaga backline have made a solid start to the game, led by the brilliantly named skipper Weligton. Brazilian, of course.

  17. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Isco is away down the right, he crosses for Cristiano Ronaldo after a strong run, but Raul Albentosa heads behind for a corner. Sergio Ramos gets good contact on the set-piece but keeper Carlos Kameni drops to his right for a comfortable save.

    Decent start to this one.

  18. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Aside from that Sergio Ramos backpass, it's been a good start from the visitors. But here come Malaga and Charles has a chance to take aim from inside the penalty box but he decides to dribble and Real get back to cover his extravagant cross. The deep corner is well defended by Real.

  19. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Isco bursts down the left and skips to the byline. He cuts back, and aims to shoot but the Malaga defence block his shot. A dangerous warning for the hosts.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 3 mins

    Malaga 0-0 Real Madrid

Real clear that one and Jese is away on the counter attack and pulled back by Malaga's Miguel Torres for a very early booking.
