Wolves 1-1 Derbypublished at 53 mins
Jacob Butterfield unleashes his second long-range hit of the game. Again it's well struck, but again it's pretty easily dealt with by Carl Ikeme in the Wolves goal.

Jacob Butterfield unleashes his second long-range hit of the game. Again it's well struck, but again it's pretty easily dealt with by Carl Ikeme in the Wolves goal.
But he curls it wide from 25 yards. Not far wide though. He knows it was pretty close.
But Chris Martin is now standing over another free-kick for Derby....
An early threat by bother sides. Bjorn Sigurdarson takes a truly dreadful touch as Wolves get in a great position and then Derby break but it comes to nothing.

HT: Wolves 1-1 Derby
Chris Martin had been worried about being non-existent during Derby's recent struggles. But after a mostly quiet first half, he certainly made his presence felt at Molineux this afternoon. A beautiful free-kick to bring it level.

So what to make of that opening 45 minutes? There's not been too much action in either penalty area other than the two goals - but hopefully there'll be more to come in the second period?

Wolves will no doubt have been pretty happy with that first 45 minutes. Chris Martin's intervention just before the interval has somewhat ruined the half-time chat, but the performance was much improved on their recent efforts.
Wolves 1-1 Derby
The last action of the first half sees Bjorn Sigurdarson shoot over from distance for Wolves just as the three minutes of injury-time comes to an end.
Wolves 1-1 Derby (Martin)
A glorious free-kick equaliser from Chris Martin who sends the ball up and over the wall and in to the near post.
The hosts are moving the ball nicely now. A pacy move down the left ends with Matt Doherty winning a corner that is easily cleared
Derby keeper Scott Carson took a whack there and is having treatment, but he seems to be ok. A little dazed, but seemingly alright to carry on.
One player who has seen plenty of the ball is Nathan Byrne. He has got through a tiring amount of work at both ends for Wolves and sends in a teasing cross after another burst forward on the right, but it comes to nothing.
Chris Martin has hardly been involved for Derby. He's often a key man in how they play. He has the look of a stereotypical 80s centre-forward, but is more than decent on the ball. He just hasn't seen enough of it from a Rams perspective so far.
It's got the potential to be quite and open game, but the quality has been lacking with the final delivery when good attacking positions are created.
George Saville is excused. But apart from that moment of class, there's barely been a chance of note.
A muscular run from Bradley Johnson down the left earns Derby their first corner of the match, but Carl Ikeme gathers with the minimum of trouble.
Still Wolves lead thanks to George Saville's 14th-minute curler.
A good run by Jeff Hendrick comes to nothing when he cannot find a Derby team-mate on the edge of the box. Wolves clear their lines.
Dominic Iorfa has asked plenty of questions of the Derby defence so far. He's a tricky customer on the ball and has another decent run down the right flank.
Nathan Byrne tried something similar, but managed to trip himself up as he tried one stepover too many.
Darren Wassall's men have seen a fair amount of the ball, and it's looking like they will see a bit more it because Wolves are showing signs of dropping off a bit deeper now they have that lead
It will be interesting to see if they look to play on the break and use the pace out wide if Derby over-commit.
It was a pretty tedious beginning to the game if truth be told, but that's all forgiven now. A really lovely goal. A fine considered shot into the corner after a good team move.
Now how will the Rams respond? They were 1-0 down against Brentford last Saturday if you remember.
