Bickering between Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott. Giroud's not happy with his team-mate over something. That's not a good sign. Arsene Wenger has also vented signs of frustration from the bench. Hull are comfortably dealing with anything their Premier League opponents are throwing at them.

Fine take by Eldin Jakupovi after Calum Chambers clips an inviting ball into the Hull area intended for Olivier Giroud.

"The stalemate is mostly down to the systems that are being played. Hull have got three centre-backs up against Giroud, and Walcott and Iwobi aren't getting forward to support him. Arsene Wenger needs to push his attacking midfielders further forward."

There's a hush inside the ground as medical teams attend to Nick Powell and Per Mertesacker. Powell is first to his feet. He has a black bandage wrapped around his head but is able to continue. It's another two minutes before Mertesacker climbs to his feet. The Arsenal defender is also fine to continue.

Nasty collision of heads between Nick Powell and Per Mertesacker just outside the area results in a lengthy stoppage. Blood is pouring from Powell's head while Mertesacker has not moved.

Hull are in for a long night. The Championship club are struggling to keep possession and have been guilty of some careless passing. David Ospina has been a spectator for the first 15 minutes in the Arsenal goal.

"It's very similar to the first game, where Arsenal controlled possession for the entirety of it. In the commentary box, we've hardly turned our heads to our left. But having said that, Arsenal haven't looked very dangerous so far."

Olivier Giroud already standing out from the rest - he's one of the few wearing gloves. Arsenal have started well. Joel Campbell powers into the Hull area before curling wide after a decent build-up and clever pass by Alex Iwobi.

Theo Walcott volleys past Eldin Jakupovic from close range but there's no celebration as the Arsenal man is offside. Already a familiar pattern developing - Arsenal with all the possession with Hull happy to strike on the counter.

Lots of empty seats in the home sections at kick-off. Maybe they're still rushing to the ground from work.
