He might be getting stick from a number of former players and a growing number of fans but Arsene Wenger has found a friend in Steve Bruce.

"How anybody can criticise him is beyond me with what he's achieved and what he's done," said the Hull boss on the eve of the replay. "I find that really appalling. He deserves a bit more than what he gets dished out considering what he's achieved."

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has made it crystal clear where his priorities rest - with promotion to the Premier League his No 1 aim.

The Tigers are third in the Championship table - three points adrift of automatic promotion as they look to make a quick return to the top-flight after being relegated last season.

"The priority is the league and where we want to get to," says Bruce. "We want to be playing the Arsenals and the Chelseas every week. But there's nothing quite like an FA Cup tie or FA Cup run. Once it gets to this stage there's all to play for."

Why are we here and why is this a 19:00 GMT kick-off?

The FA Cup has proved a happy distraction from other domestic and European troubles for Arsenal, with the 2014 and 2015 winners on a 14-match winning run in the competition until Hull rocked up at the Emirates last month and forced a replay after a goalless draw.

Uefa usually discourages fixtures from taking place on the same night as their Champions League and Europa League competitions but the European governing body have agreed to make an exception for tonight.

With Real Madrid, Roma, Wolfsburg and Gent in Champions League action at 19:45 GMT, a decision was made to bring forward kick-off at the KC Stadium.
