    Bournemouth 0-2 Liverpool

Bournemouth are known as the hardest working team in the league, but they've given the men in white far too much time on the ball in this match. There's been more urgency in these last five minutes however and, as Liverpool know, a comeback is always possible no matter how improbable it may seem.

Firmino slaps his forehead as his curling effort is easily caught by Artur Boruc. He needed more oomph on that to trouble the goalkeeper.

Another substitution for the hosts, Marc Pugh replacing Max Gradel.

    Bournemouth 0-2 Liverpool

Jordon Ibe receiving plenty of the ball on the left flank, working well with the energetic Brad Smith. The Australian makes a late run into the box, and earns his team a corner. Or does he? Nope, the ball had gone out of play before Smith's cross hit a Bournemouth defender.

Danny Ward has not had much to do, but when he's been called into action he's responded calmly. The visitors monopolising possession, confident and effortlessly breaking into the opposition half.

    Bournemouth 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool earn a corner within seconds of the kick-off and Bournemouth's defence is struggling.

Brad Smith's shot is deflected for a second corner. Artur Boruc fails to deal with the high ball, and had Firmino managed to keep his 12-yard effort on target it would have been a third.

Lucas has been a steadying presence in the Liverpool back four. The Brazilian has yet to miss a tackle and has been on hand to clear up when danger was lurking, as this graphic shows with the captain making five clearances in the first half.

For those of you who like lines and circles on a green background this is the graphic for you. Here's how Liverpool's opener panned out, with Artur Boruc's save falling kindly for Firmino (number 11). What it doesn't show is Daniel Sturridge's (No 15) cheeky backheel which the goalkeeper found too hot to handle.

Paul Walmsley:  6 goals in 7 games for Sturridge. Not sure why people think he shouldn't go to the Euros...

Kolo KK:  The calm way with which this "absurd" side have played and taken the lead is absolutely astonishing. Another Klopp tinkering

Simple. A delicate inswinging free-kick from Jordon Ibe which the unmarked Daniel Sturridge heads into the left corner with ease. Ruthless.

Lucas, again under pressure as Joshua King causes problems on the fringes of the penalty area. The Brazilian looks like he might be in trouble, but comes away with the ball. Bournemouth fans call for a penalty, the ball appearing to hit the defender's hand.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Liverpool (Firmino)

It was Firmino who started that move, pinging a pass to Sheyi Ojo through Max Gradle's legs. From Ojo to Jordon Ibe to Daniel Sturridge. The striker backheels towards the far corner, and Artur Boruc parries into the path of Firmino who side foots home from four yards for a simple tap-in.

  19. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool fans will surely be delighted if Jurgen Klopp becomes the new Claudio Ranieri?

Anyway, there's not much to report. The hosts are enjoying plenty of possession at the moment without breaking down Liverpool's defence. There's no going through Kolo Toure and Lucas.

  20. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

In terms of possession, there's not much in it. In terms of chances created, there's not much in it either which, to be fair, the scoreline suggests. Just under 10 minutes until the break.
