Much of the play happening in the middle of the park at the moment. Bournemouth, though, work their way towards Liverpool's goal, but Lucas puts his body in the line of fire as Junior Stanislas lets rip outside the box.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Lucas has performed well so far in the centre of defence, as he did when he played there at the beginning of the year. He's reading the game well, coming off his line quickly when Bournemouth threaten.

A delightful chipped pass from Joe Allen to Daniel Sturridge, the ball bobbles off the striker's shin to Artur Boric, who turns it away for the Reds' first corner of the match. The visitors have been in the ascendancy in the last five minutes or so.

Liverpool go again. Sheyi Ojo zig-zags between two Bournemouth defenders, takes a shot which Artur Boruc parries. The rebound falls to Connor Randall. The defender shoots once, then again on the rebound, but can't find a way through.

Sloppy from Kevin Stewart in midfield. The visitors were stringing a series of passes together but the 22-year-old finds a red and white shirt, needlessly putting pressure on the Liverpool defence but luckily it comes to nothing.

Joe Allen and Kevin Stewart attempting to dictate the tempo of the match, but the Welshman's attempted pass to Firminio goes  stray and a long ball towards Joshua King earns Bournemouth a free-kick in a promising position as Lucas' challenge is a touch too strong.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Joe Allen, influential in Liverpool's comeback against Dortmund, turns defence into attack with a burst into the opposition half. He finds Firmino, but the Brazilian's cross into the box is a disappointing one.

Bournemouth fans in full voice. Their team slightly on top, though Liverpool are retaining possession at the moment.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Bournemouth's midfield spraying the ball around crisply. Matt Ritchie receives the ball on the right flank, cuts in and opts for an ambitious 30-yard strike which bounces wide. Liverpool being pegged inside their own half.

Liverpool's new-look defence far from convincing. A cute through-ball from Joshua King to Max Gradel on the edge of the box. It could be dangerous but Connor Randall toe-pokes it away from the striker's feet. Bournemouth slightly edging possession.

  12. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Joshua King attempts to outmuscle Lucas, the striker falls inside the box - appeals for a penalty, as do a few thousand fans, but the referee ignores them.

Replays show Mike Jones was right to do so. Lucas using his experience, putting his body in the way and letting the ball run out for a goal kick.

    Both teams currently evenly matched.

How will Danny Ward cope with the first corner of the match? We soon find out. As we know, Liverpool aren't renowned for being rock steady on set pieces.

Steve Cook makes a late run to the back post, but his header drifts wide. Had it been on target it probably would have sneaked into the near post.

  14. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool, in their all-white away strip, are pressing with energy. A misplaced pass by Max Gradel sets Daniel Sturridge free to wave into the box, but Bournemouth's defence hold firm and nick the ball. Both sides full of energy and attacking intent.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

A lively opening. Tommy Elphick and Andrew Surman are too lackadaisical in possession at the back and a stray pass deflects off Firmino and into Daniel Sturridge's path, but Artur Boruc keeps hold of the palm stinger.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Liverpool

Max Gradel takes a tumble, rolling around as if he's been caught by a sniper. It was instead a clumsy challenge by Reds defender Connor Randall. Nerves perhaps from the young debutant.

  20. Cherries want to do betterpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 17 April 2016

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

Bournemouth manager Eddie HoweImage source, Reuters

Bournemouth are one of the most industrious teams in the Premier League - only Tottenham have covered more ground than the Cherries this season.

The Cherries have been thumped 4-0 and 3-0 by Manchester City and Tottenham respectively in recent league games, but what does manager Eddie Howe have to say?

"We will anticipate a hard-working and full of energy Liverpool team. You can't predict them too much, we have to focus on what we are going to do," says the Cherries boss.

"We weren't happy with how we played against Tottenham and Manchester City and want to do better, especially against the top sides."
