    Did you know on this day in 1888 the first formal meeting of the Football League took place at the Royal Hotel in Manchester?

    Twelve clubs attended and they all agreed to form a league. Good plan.

    One of the founding members was Aston Villa, who, on Saturday, dropped down to the second tier of English football for the first time in 29 years.

    The fortunes are very different on the other side of the Midlands where Leicester could edge that bit closer to a remarkable Premier League title if they overcome West Ham today (13:30 BST).

    At the same time Bournemouth host Europa League semi-finalists Liverpool (13:30 BST).

    And at 16:00 BST, it's a north v south London (Croydon) clash as Arsenal play Crystal Palace.
