I blame Joe Hart just as much for that. Why pass it to a player with his back to the play with Zlatan within two feet? At this level, no other team than City would concede a goal like that.

    Dave, Manchester

That mistake to gift PSG a goal after working so hard to take the lead happens Sunday morning football like I play - don't expect it from professionals.

    Mo, Ruislip

The equalising goal was perfectly preventable, and they should have gone into the dressing room 1-0 up instead of level pegging. The lapse in concentration just shows that you should never gift a chance to a side of PSG's calibre.

I think City would still take this as a cracking result but the nature of that equaliser will nag on the brain all week. Gnaw away at you if you're a City fan.

    Or captain...

"Man City started really well. Positive, high intensity. I'm concerned about City's left side - David Silva is not a natural wide player. But a moment of madness from Fernando - I've no idea what he was thinking. His awareness of what was around him was non existent."

Unconfirmed - as I was typing at the time - but apparently former City and Sheffield United midfielder Michael Brown was seen celebrating in the away end when Kevin de Bruyne fired home.

Anyone seen an ex-pro at an away game?

"Fernando is so casual and his first touch is just so sloppy. Why he's trying to be clever I don't know. My only question is does Joe Hart need to play the short ball? It's nearly the end of the half, just get it up the pitch."

You don't concede goals like that one from Zlatan when your goalkeeper just lumps every kick as far downfield as he can. I don't think Sergio Aguero would win too many headers mind you.

"Blaise Matuidi crossed it like I would. He just had to roll the ball across the six-yard box and Edinson Cavani would have tapped it into an empty net."

Martin McHugh: ONLY English teams capable of these ridiculous goals!

Tunde Akere: Joe Hart made a mistake passing the ball to Fernando, I blame him 100 percent.

Luke: Same old City, they can spend all the money in the world but still make pub team howlers. Sorry pub teams!

It's taken a bobble! That's what Blaise Matuidi will be saying anyway, Angel di Maria sends him in on the left, he tries to square it for an Edinson Cavana tap-in but he gets under it and shanks the cross out of play.

    Breathless stuff!

Jesus Navas has a cross which hits the first defender - suspend your disbelief - but does it roll up the arm of Thiago Silva? Nothing given.

We are not short of talking points tonight. Or noise! Deafening stuff.

They played 'Uptown Funk' when that goal went in by the way. PSG you're better than that.

"What on earth was Fernando thinking? Joe Hart gives him the ball. Hes far too casual. It's almost a deflection into the net. He's allowed them back into the game with a calamitous error.

"Fernando needs to settle himself down and get his head back in the game."

    WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Talk about throwing it all away! Joe Hart plays a goal kick out to Fernando, right on the edge of the box, he takes a heavy touch, Zlatan Ibrahimovic closes him down, Fernando panics and tries to lash it away - and it goes in off the toe of Ibrahimovic!

He's scored with a block tackle. I've really seen it all now...

The Premier League title race may have had a different front runner if this guy had stayed fit. What a goal on the break! It's a slack pass in midfield picked up by Fernandinho, he drives on from the centre circle and plays it perfectly to the overlapping Kevin de Bruyne. David Luiz gets his feet in a tangle and De Bruyne steadies his,  before flashing in early and high past Kevin Trapp.

    Cracking finish.
