Riyad Mahrez is being marked by a mob rather than a man.
Leicester's trickmeister general is faced up by a gang of red and white shirts as he dribbles up to the edge of the box.
Instead it is Christian Fuchs who has to take a pop and the Austrian defender's effort is powder-puff and wide.

"With Southampton playing three at the back, it's very difficult to go through the middle. Switch the play and stretch the defence."
Leicester 0-0 Southampton
Leicester are playing it patient, probing down the channels looking for a chink of space as Southampton sit deep.
The Foxes have had to change from the days when they could catch unsuspecting opponents with whip-smart counter attacks at warp speed.

As a Palace fan who was at our game with Leicester a couple of weeks ago, I have to say they were a dream to watch. They switched so quickly from midfield play to out-and-out attack, no one had the ball for more than 3 seconds. They passed and moved into space, and every ball carrier had several options when going forward, it was like being at a Red Arrows display at times. Wonderful football, worthy of Premier League champions. The rest of us are rooting for you, GO FOXES!

"Leicester are very comfortable. But what they need to do is force the issue and capitalise on the control they have of this match so far. Fraser Forster has been relatively unworked so far."
Leicester 0-0 Southampton
Matt Targett loses his footing and Riyad Mahrez down the Leicester right.
The Algeria international scampers forward, but the Southampton defence cut out his outside-of-the-foot cross towards Shinji Okazaki.
Okazaki is not too far away from a low Jamie Vardy cross shortly after and the decibels creep north again in the King Power.
Leicester 0-0 Southampton
Southampton get their foot on the ball to earn a bit of breathing space.
The visitors have got Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand pushed on quite a long way on from full-back.

"That's very unusual to see - Leicester had a throw in, 18 yards out, and all 11 Southampton players were behind the ball. You can get in each other's way in that situation."
Leicester 0-0 Southampton
Shinji Okazaki cheekily tries to pull off the near-post flick that Jamie Vardy employed to such good use against Germany for England last week, but Virgil van Dijk is sliding at his feet to block.
Wes Morgan slams a hip-height volley straight into Matt Targett from the resulting corner.
Leicester knocking at the door with increasing urgency.

Jamie Vardy has a sniff at an under-cooked backpass from Matt Targett, but the ball has just enough pace on it to make it back to Fraser Forster's big swinging left boot.
Vardy looks keen as beans. As ever.

N'Golo Kante makes the first of what will be many effortless block tackles to big cheers.
Marc Albrighton floats in a ball from the left, but that is too close to Fraser Forster who pulls it out of the sky.

Riyad Mahrez has a dart at Matt Targett and wins an early corner.
Robert Huth and Wes Morgan park their tanks on Southampton's penalty-area lawn, but it is fellow defender Christian Fuchs who heads wide from the set-piece.

"That will be an intriguing battle between Kante and Wanyama. Wanyama is superior physically, but Kante wins on mobility and endurance."
