Space is opening for Derby County in the middle.

Tom Ince is allowed time and space to turn and move the ball to the left wing. Rams pressure growing by the minute, it seems.

Better from Derby County. Jeff Hendrick getting forward and is fouled.

Ball into the head of Gary Gardner. While that will give Gardner a headache, it's not the goal sort of headache the Rams wanted.

Can you smell what Forest are cooking?

Well, you can probably hear it as the home fans have become increasingly quiet.

The most noise comes when Gary Gardner shoots high and wide for Forest from distance.

At the other end, the ball is whipped in from Macrus Olsson bit it's beyond Chris Martin. Big chance there.

Nottingham Forest attacking on the left flank now, Ben Osborn looking busy and increasingly dangerous as he tries to cut inside.

However, the final ball is lacking and for all their endeavour, the Reds fail to test Scott Carson in Derby's goal.

What is on Harry Redknapp's mind in these early minutes?

It is the former QPR, Tottenham and West Ham manager's first game in an advisory role at the iPro Stadium. 

So far, 14th-placed Nottingham Forest look the more positive side.

Some pretty bone-shuddering challenges flying in from both sides, but not much quality so far. The thwacks, thuds and oofs can be heard from the stands but are quickly drowned out by a pretty deafening noise around the iPro.

Off the pitch, Forest taunt their hosts with "Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that..."

The Rams respond with "Your ground's too big for you..."

Ryan Mendes does like a challenge today. Derby County bodies falling at the Forest man's feet with every tackle.

Nottingham Forest's Eric Lichaj, who agreed a new contract with the Reds last week, looks calm playing out from the back.

With a give-and-go, Forest race upfield to win a corner.

Derby make hard work of clearing the danger, but do enough to keep Forest at bay.

The game really being played to the beat of the Nottingham Forest drum in these early minutes. Patient build-up from the Reds, who are playing under Paul Williams for just the second time.

No sense of fluidity from Derby County's attack. A few hit-and-hope balls from the Rams.

Craig Bryson, however, wins a free-kick on the edge of the Forest area, which comes to nothing. No real threats at either end.

Marcus Olsson, meet Ryan Mendes. The Derby defender with a crunching challenge on Forest winger Mendes. Great challenge, full-blooded.

Nottingham Forest control the first minute of possession while Derby try to pressure the ball.

With the ball at feet, Federico Macheda is stopped on the right wing for Forest.

And we have our first corner to the Reds... it comes to nothing as it is overhit.

I overhead a Forest fan talking about the derby yesterday....

"I don't really like them. There's too much on them. At work we now have a gentleman's agreement where we don't really talk about it afterwards. We just get it out of the way and try to move on. It's horrible."

I wonder if he felt that way after Ben Osborn's injury-time winner at the iPro? Not quite so horrible that, I imagine.

And not sure his Rams buddies were hating every minute of the 5-0 thumping when Craig Bryson scored a hat-trick.

But I know exactly what he means. Some games are just excruciating.

Nelson Oliveira's early goal gave Nottingham Forest victory over Derby County at the City Ground in November.

Oliveira's low shot from 18 yards put Forest ahead inside the opening five minutes, and it proved enough to end their eight-game winless run. It also effectively extended Dougie Freedman's stay at Forest, with the axe seemingly looming over the Scot before the win.

A week later, Forest suffered a defeat at Brentford before going on a 13-game unbeaten run.

Forest are unchanged from Tuesday's draw at Hull.

There is a change to Derby County's defence with Jamie Hanson coming in at right-back to replace to Cyrus Christie, who drops to the bench.

Elsewhere, Johnny Russell takes his place among the substitutes after missing last week's draw at Rotherham with a groin complaint.

The form guide makes grim reading for both sides, really.

Promotion-chasing Derby County have won just four of 16 games dating back to 29 December. In that time, they have sacked Paul Clement as boss.

Nottingham Forest have lost five of their past seven games, a run during which Dougie Freedman was sacked as boss.
