Roma's season goes from strength to strength.

Luciano Spalletti's side have won nine of the last 10 Serie A games.

It's not going to be enough to catch leaders Juventus but they are in terrific form with seven matches remaining. 

Roma strengthen their hopes of playing in next season's Champions League after a comprehensive derby win over Lazio. 

Nightmare end for Lazio. They're getting hammered by their fierce rivals and now they will finish with 10 men after Wesley Hoedt is sent off for a second yellow card.

Roma legend Francesco Totti is not going to get on the pitch. 

Will the 39-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, appear in another Derby della Capitale?

He's laughing and joking on the bench as the celebrations begin for Roma.

There wasn't too many fans inside the Stadio Olimpico to start with but there's a wave of sky blue shirts heading for the exits now.

Roma have out-fought, out-muscled and out-witted their fierce rivals to win the Rome derby.

Szczesny's glaring error let Lazio back into this but  Florenzi's goal has surely settled this derby.

Those fans that opted to boycott this...they're missing a terrific finale. Frantic stuff in Rome.

Roma have gone to pieces since going 2-0 ahead. Lazio did nothing for 60-odd minutes but have dominated since.

Is there going to be a final twist in the final 10 minutes?

There's still another 15 minutes or so to go but Roma are already starting to run down the clock. 

For the first time Lazio are giving this a good go. They've come alive since falling 2-0 behind but have they left it too late?

Wojciech Szczesny suggested before the game he could stay at Roma next season rather than settle for a place on the Arsenal bench.

The 25-year-old Polish keeper has started 27 Serie A games since moving to Italy's capital on loan before the start of the season.

"Will I stay at Roma? For me, football always comes first,” said Szczesny on Roma Radio., external “I have the confidence of everyone here.

“When you have the trust of your team-mates, the coach and the fans, as well as playing every Sunday, then that can only be for the best."
