  1. CLOSE!published at 55 mins

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

Another chance for Roma and it's a terrible miss by Mohamed Salah who blazes over from close range. They should be two or three up by now. Will these misses prove costly?

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

Wojciech Szczesny has hardly been troubled in the Roma goal. That's how poor Lazio have been going forward.

  3. CLOSE!published at 50 mins

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

Almost a howler by Lazio keeper Federico Marchetti who just about does enough to scramble clear a low cross-shot by Lucas Digne.

Imagine Anfield half empty for a Merseyside derby. Or thousands of empty seats at White Hart Lane for Tottenham against Arsenal.

That's what it's like in the Stadio Olimpico right now. And it's derby day in Rome!

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

As it stands, Roma are four points behind second-placed Napoli. Lazio are Serie A's draw specialists. They'll have to up their game if they are to haul themselves back into this. We're back under way.

Big news at the top of Serie A where Napoli's title hopes are all but over after losing 3-1 at Udinese to leave them six points behind Serie A leaders Juventus with only seven rounds remaining.

To add to Napoli's misery Sunday, top goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain was sent off following two bookings. The Argentina international had to be dragged off the pitch by fellow players and was clearly upset.

"Gareth Bale produced a man-of-the-match performance and was his team's most dangerous player all night, regularly troubling Barca with his powerful running. He was unlucky to see a header disallowed for a supposed push and picked out Cristiano Ronaldo with a deep cross for the winner. Maybe his best game for the club."

It's fair to say the Rome derby has yet to deliver the same drama as El Clasico managed on Saturday. Real Madrid, despite being reduced to 10 men, won 2-1 to end Barcelona's 39-match unbeaten run.

"This can be a turning point. It is very important, for the rest of season, for our spirit," said Real boss Zinedine Zidane.

It was an emotional night at the Nou Camp, as Barcelona paid tribute to their iconic former player and manager Johan Cruyff, who died of cancer on 24 March, aged 68.

  9. HALF-TIME - Lazio 0-1 Romapublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 3 April 2016

No doubt about it, the better team is ahead. Lazio are fortunate not to be further behind. Their boss Stefano Pioli has already been spoken to by the referee and he looks furious as he heads for the home dressing room. I wouldn't want to be wearing a sky blue shirt right now.

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

A sublime solo effort from Radja Nainggolan as he runs at the Lazio defence before dispatching an effort which curls just wide. That was the Belgium international at his very best.

Radja Nainggolan waves an imaginary card in the referee's direction after he crashes to the ground under a challenge. The official is not impressed and Roma have their first yellow card.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 40 mins

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

A rare moment of skill almost brings Roma their second goal, Miralem Pjanic's delicious curling effort from outside the area crashing against the bar with keeper Federico Marchetti rooted to the spot.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 37 mins

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

Perhaps Biglia is frustrated at his miss but moments after his free-kick he chops down Stephan El Shaarawy. It's 3-0 to Lazio in terms of yellow cards. Roma are ahead in the one statistic that really counts.

    Lazio 0-1 Roma

Lazio are gifted a great chance just outside the area when Seydou Keita shoves Antonio Candreva to the ground just outside the area.

Up steps skipper Lucas Biglia but it clears the bar. That sums up the story of Lazio's half.

Two quick yellow cards for Lazio, who are frustrated and tetchy.

Lazio's defence appears to be half asleep as Mohamed Salah manages to get round the back of the Lazio defence but there is no one there to get on the end of his cross. It's one way traffic.

That's really livened things up in the sparsely populated Stadio Olimpico. Roma thoroughly deserve the lead. They're started really well as they chase a Champions League spot.
