If you need goals in the Championship, you don't look too much further than Jordan Rhodes.

Rhodes heads Adam Forshaw's cross against former Boro defender David Wheater but then reacts quickest to strike it low  into the net first time from all of eight yards out.

The visitors quickly grab the ball and race back to the centre circle.

    Game on.

Bolton chuck the ball into the box and Emile Heskey with a sublime, cushioned touch for Josh Vela to rifle it home from close range.

Already relegated Wanderers' four wins in the league this season have all come at home, they're on course for a fifth.

Bolton's compact formation has done its job so far and a deep cross from the right from Middlesbrough is headed over by Albert Adomah.

There just seems to be a lack of urgency with Aitor Karanka's side at the minute.

It might be top against bottom but that has been a pretty even half of football.

Stewart Downing rattled the crossbar and Daniel Ayala's header went close but Boro have not been too convincing so far.

Zach Clough's looked busy and creative for Bolton who have looked competitive in the first 45 minutes.
