  4. Bolton 0-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 40 mins

Jordan Rhodes should probably have given Middlesbrough the lead here.

A clipped ball in from Adam Clayton finds the striker in all sorts of space but he is unable to generate any real power or direction and Ben Amos easily gathers.

Middlesbrough are in no rhythm at the moment. Their tempo is shocking. They need to pass the ball quicker and get it wide.

We've been asking who who think it going to make it to the Premier League. Here's some of your thoughts.

  12. Bolton 0-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 29 mins

A fluid bit of attacking play from Bolton.

Zach Clough and Darren Pratley involved in the move but eventually an offside flag inside the area puts a hold to proceedings.

  13. Bolton 0-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 26 mins

Another corner, another Daniel Ayala header.

The Boro centre-back gets free in the area again but his header is nowhere near this time.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 24 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Middlesbrough

This is a stunning strike from ex-England winger Stewart Downing.

He takes a chipped ball down superbly and then his second touch sees him unleash a shot from 25 yards out that rattles the cross bar and comes out.

He pleading asks the referee that the ball dropped over the line but it wasn't close.

    Quote Message

It's a great strike. It was a lovely ball from Adam Clayton to put it in Downing's path. It's definitely not over the line. It hit the bar and came down this side of the line.

You can understand why interim Bolton manager Jimmy Phillips has tried to tighten things up today as they are still yet to keep a clean sheet in 2016.

A Middlesbrough attack, this time down the right, is dealt with and they have looked solid if unspectacular in the opening stages.

  16. CLOSE!published at 19 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Middlesbrough

The closest that Middlesbrough have come to scoring this.

A corner from the right finds a stooping Daniel Ayala but he directs his header just over the crossbar.

    Quote Message

That's the best chance of the game so far. I think Ayala should hit the target.
